Also why do some people think that confronting extremism in the middle east after 911 was a bad idea?
Why do some people here in the USA think we are safe from terrorism and extremists and that if we pull our troops out of countries, who want to harm the USA, that we won't greatly increase our risk of suffering the consequences of more serious terrorist attacks?
Are these the same people who think engaging extremism in one country will be sufficient enough to have a lasting effect on an entire region of countries?
Why do they not know that the war on terrorism is a global issue and that terrorists and extremists are spread across many many countries and can not be effectively dealt with if we only fight them in one country?
What do the people here who are against fighting terrorism think about the fact that technology is progressing to the point that anyone with little money can aquire the tools and info necessary to build weapons that can kill and hurt millions?

Men can get all kinds of diseases from unlicensed prostitutes. If prostitution were legal and regulated, the girls and the johns would be tested, and that would make it safer for everybody. Plus it would be a source of tax revenue.

I was reading in a magazine the other day that they now have a robot (looks like the one on Short Circuit) that will go out and get wounded soldiers off the battlefield.

Still with all of the billions of dollars that we have pumped into this occupation of Iraq, we are getting our butts kicked by dirt poor hooligans and their five dollar bombs.

It speaks volumes for the resilience of those people. I think that 50 years from now, history will look back on the Iraqi freedom fighters and compare them with La Resistance of WWII and the Nazi occupation of France.

Meanwhile, as Bush decides to pump billions more in, those brave dirt poor people continue to blow hooplehead soldiers to pieces.

Who else in in awe of these patriots of Iraq?

Only because he violated his oath of office and manipulated Congress into an illegal war.

The United Nations charter has a provision which was agreed to by the United States formulated by the United States in fact, after World War II. It says that from now on, no nation can use armed force without the permission of the U.N. Security Council. They can use force in connection with self-defense, but a country can't use force in anticipation of self-defense. Regarding Iraq, the last Security Council resolution essentially said, “Look, send the weapons inspectors out to Iraq, have them come back and tell us what they've found -- then we'll figure it out from there.” The U.S. was impatient, and decided to invade Iraq -- which was all pre-arranged of course. So, the United States went to war, in violation of the charter. Making the war in Iraq an “illegal” war.

The wars in other countries that people have fought for thousands and thousands years. Wars and troubles that plagued countries from Aisa to Europe and everything in between ?
Seems like the world is oh so focused on the wars that America has fought in ( execpt the Civil War ). The forigners have in their narrow minds that America is a war hawk. But seem to forget how their homeland came and stayed in existance thousands of years ago.
We are only 230 years old in comparison. They had their wars too.
