This whole generation has been primed to cause court battles within the family. I would talk to your son/daughter - if they will listen ...they are all acting paranoid but don't walk around them on eggshells. Be honest and if they hate honesty and enjoy hurting you then they've got a serious problem and have no other choice but to live with their actions. There are rights you can file for but be prepared to face outright craziness in the courtroom. This generation is being used to keep the courts and mental health system afloat they just don't realize that all the anti-parent garbage they were taught in school was jokes on them but you still aren't playin. Just look at it this way....they cannot keep their child in a box and it all comes out in the wash someday....something this publically labeled narcissitic generation cannot control. They aren't into anyone but themselves and have zero concern for family which in turn means they have no respect for their children.
There are definately situations within families that have caused friction but where there aren't they make it up then someone tells the parents they are sick with bipolar or a personality disorder (that's what the system wants in the first place). If they don't end up in the system their children will. Hopefully one day they will grow up and learn to behave like adults.

Yes. The parent of a child can not prevent the Grandparents from normal visitation. That is every other weekend and one evening.
UNLESS: The Grandparent is considered a danger to the child by the courts. ie, child abuse or sexual abuse.
Other than that the Grandparents have a right regardless of the parent's wishes.

In the US there are some states ( but not near all of them) that will grant and allow grandparents visitation rights.
The grandparents will have to file for ordererd visitation with family court.
I wish everyone had it, but right now it is just a few states

Its not a law, you have to go to civil/family court to get visitation rights.
