Where to begin? India is a wonderful place but a few things need to be done. The problem is doing them yet not changing the culture.

I think more micro loans along the line of what is done with the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh would reap wonderful rewards for the poor. Dr. Yunis has a great idea and I can see it being utilized well in India as well. This would help many of the poor and possibly the beggars as well. Instead of handouts they might stand a chance of moving ahead.

The air quality and the traffic of the cities need work. I have heard that there is much good work being done in Dehli so children know the sky is actually BLUE. This would also include the rice boats that cruise the back waters of Kerala where I saw oil slicks in the ricefields as the sun set.

The biggest task by far that you will now face, and this is not a joke, is a planned and coordinated assault on the strength of India, its powerful family unit. Break the family and you break the nation. I see this process has begun in India. Bollywood is doing to India what Hollywood did to America. As it becomes more sexual and explicit, cultural standards begin to lower. Of course they hit the young hardest to creat strife within families.

It began to lower moral standards and send out subtle messages that changed how life was lived. It also served to fill the minds of the people with trivia so they were obsessed with nothing while they miss the real things going on. I see this coming to your India soon.

Feminism will tear India apart the way it did North America. Suddenly men will be painted as weak and villainous. The trillions of good husbands will be buried as the few are held up as examples of what happens in marriage. Women will be told that man is the enemy and marriage and family are possible with a career. Don't fall for it. This will be your biggest task in office. You have seen what this did to America, once a family strong with strong family values ruined by the media.

The wild dogs of the cities could be fed an oral contraceptive to curb their numbers. Something done to cull the packs. This cannot be healthy.

Also, some means of handling the garbage of India. I saw people just throwing bags of it into the waterways of Kerala. It is everywhere. Some means of tidying up the streets would certainly curtail much disease.

Just a few observations from my last visit over there. I absolutely love India. I weep for its westernization!
