Did you know that the McCain_Kennedy II bill was partially drafted by La Raza? http://www.crosstabs.org/stories/immigration/mccain_kennedy_ii
The lobbyists involved in drafting McCain-Kennedy II, include the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition (EWIC), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Civil Liberties Union, the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council of La Raza, and the Service Employees International Union.

I filed a complaint on a person who wrote me a bad check for $75 in 1996. I know a warrant was issued, but he was never apprehended. Well, according to some aquaintances of mine, he moved back here two months ago from Arizona. Can I still go after my money??

Example 1: I once worked with a woman who, at least twice a day, went through a ten minute period of choking on herself. She would sit at her desk choking and spitting bile into tissues, and we all had to put up with it. Other people said that we "had to" help her, since we were on the second floor, and it was "so hard" for her to go up and down the stairs for files she needed. She never seemed to have trouble with the steps when it came to one of her smoking breaks, however. She spoke bitterly of people that were trying to tell her to quit smoking. I refused to do the file runs for her since she used the stairs just fine when she wanted to. Now, since she refused to try to help herself, why was I "uncompassionate" for refusing to help her?

I had an argument with my parents aprox 9 months ago and they kicked out my fiance, my daughter and I. Since then they have been telling people (i.e. their pharmacist, friends and relatives) that I had tried to sabotage's my mother's car in order to invoke harm upon them (a complete lie). They didn't even have the police look into the matter. Since then my friends and relatives have been asking me about this matter and I tell them that this is untrue but I still believe my parents may be telling people lies about me. I would like to know if I have any legal ground on which to sue them.

I was on a london bus last August & although I had an oyster card on me I didn't swipe it in the machine.
my mind was on meeting my little girl to take her to the hospital as she wasn't well. anyhow a ticket inspecter got on & saw I hadn't swiped my card, he took it from me & I have now had a letter saying I must go to court. The letter says I can attend or not, the choice is mine. Will it go worse for me if I just fill out the papers & don't go or do you think I should go to court. I'm pleading guilty anyhow.
Has this happened to anyone else & if so what was the outcome?

London transport is asking for £95 towards costs, will I get fined on top of that? at the moment I'm unemployed & wondering how much they may fine me. I had money on my oyster card but the inspecter wouldn't allow me to swipe it when he got on the bus.
Please advise if you can, I can't get legal aid for this & can't afford a solicitor..

I couldn't watch anymore than that, because I suffered a mild seizure from seeing too much flashy "IN YOUR FACE!!" graphics and too many bad hairpieces... :(

If any candidate wants my vote they are going to have to prove themselves by forcing congress to bring forth charges against our current president for breaking the laws of our constitution, and Bill of Rights. Then I will consider voting for them because they have exhibited that they refuse to follow in the foot steps of our current president. After almost thirty years of voting, I would like for once to be able to vote for a real candidate for the people, and of the people.

About a month ago, I was drinking with my boyfriend at a friend's apartment. I'm 17, my boyfriend is 19 and our friend is 20. The cops came because they claim that we were being too loud and we all took breathalyzers and got citations. I was the only one that was legally drunk but I'm also the only one who has to go to court because I'm under 18. I don't know how much of a court hearing it will be since I just have to show up at the probation office in town. I live in Nevada. Does anyone know what will happen? I know I'll have to pay a fine, but is it like guarenteed that I'll get community service? It's only my first time and it's not like I was in a car. Anyone know?

Several illegals have been deported and their children left behind. So sad, but hey? Anyway, they were working in a sweat shop that made military uniforms. Owner said he hired illegals because he couldn't meet the demand. Amazing huh?

So it took up to what? 2 weeks ago, or whatever for a democrat to find that the military hospital is unclean and unfit? So these politicians who "care for our troops" must not care too much when the hospital is a whopping 6 miles from congress.

The idea of government is to serve the people, not corporate agendas.

The republicans answers to basic questions of accountability, and legality in these questions and answer formats is just plain lame, but very reprentative of the abuses of silence and corruption of the past Repub. Congress and admin.

A vote for a republican is a vote for a dead branch.

The branches of Congress, Exec. Judicial should all be alive and well.

Not part of a gangster code of ethics.

In its basic principles, socialism has nothing harmful. It worked in Spain until the fascists (whom I personally believe were much worse) revolted. The Soviet Union was communist, so don't mention them.

Before saying that "Marx said that socialism is transitory between capitalism and communism" let me tell you Lenin actually said this and attributed it to Marx.

Happy responding.

Scooter Libby will appeal the guilty verdict. If he is still found guilty, George Bush will pardon him as his last official Presidential act. I believe in the end it will all be just a sham, a waste of money and good people's time. GW has always gone by the saying, "I do what I want."

If not then
No WMD were found there.
Saddam is no more.
Iraq has never been a threat for American security.
Everybody knows there is nothing like AlQaeeda present in Iraq its all war propaganda.
And what America call Al Qaeeda is nothing more than those people who are against him.
I myself have heard several times on CNN and other News channels American officials saying that AlQaeeda is not like a physically existing organization but it is a more a concept, means any body in the entire world who is against America and want an arm struggle against it is a member of AlQaeeda.
There are so many countries in the world where there is no Democracy does it mean America will invade all those countries.
Nobody invest that much amount of money without any interest. Also there are so many American soldiers dying there.
Please only add sensible points
