actually, now I am kind of scared...most gun owners do not look at the whole picture, jump to conclusions and have no sense of humor...i am not so sure you are good candidates for gun ownership...lol

Later addition: I don't usually agree with Heidi's positions (once in a while, maybe) but the people saying she needs to get a clue are off base. She's pretty sharp and generally, at least, has well-thought-out arguments. It's a joke, for crying out loud.

You are confused.
Some people want the right to BARE arms. Some people think that wearing short sleeved shirts is a constitutional right.
Others thing there is a constitutional right to arm bears. That would make hunting more of a sport.

lol im sure this is a joke but they want the right to bear arms so that things can be safer. Peopple dont rob a liquer store and kill everyone in it if they know everyone in the store is armed and it wont be that easy. Right now only criminals have the guns. In places where citizens are allowed to bear arms crime rate is substantially lower.

Because the constitution has been turned inside out by the NRA. Therefore, most people on the RIGHT want the right to carry Bazokas, submachine guns with full auto setting, hand grenades and the like. I have been in the woods and run into hunters carrying full auto M1 Rifles and even one guy who had a Tommy Gun. I ask anyone,,,why the h** do you need a Tommy Gun while hunting Deer???? The answer I get most of the time,,,I have a right under the constitution. I say balogna. I know you ask this as a joke but I felt you needed a leson on your limited right to bear arms.AND there is a limit. If you want the right to Bear Legs,,go use your right to Bear Amrs and go get them. Har, Har, Har.

Proven: Countries that have laws against bearing arms, usually restrict your rights in other freedoms. Communist Russia, China, etc.
When the burglar comes through your front door, would you not like the option of having a gun? By you having an option, it may deter the burglar.

Ha, funny. Not that you probably care but I agree with the right to bare arms, I disagree with the right for 1 person to buy 100 guns. And I also disagree with citizens owning more powerful guns than our police force.

Unfortunately I already kind of have bear arms. Pretty furry they are...and legs too. Oh well maybe just maybe someday I'll attach a gun to my arm so as to have an appendage that doesn't look so bearish. Thanks and have a nice day.

REad the US constitution. Read US history. It's called freedom. Gun control laws only gurarantee that the intended victim is unarmed, hence increase crime

Because I'd rather not have to worry about living in a police state. I also believe I have the right to defend my family from harm, by any means necessary.
