2 questions regarding the 2-year enlistment program with the military.

1. Do all branches of the military offer 2 year enlistment contracts? If not, which ones do and which don't?

2. If I want to serve in multiple branches of the military, can I serve one branch for 2 years active and then instead of going inactive for the remaining 6 years, can I tranfer to a different branch and go active duty with them? If I do this will I lose all the benefits I earned from the first branch I was enlisted in?

Thank you for looking. A while ago I purchased a cell phone from somebody on ebay. I paid them through paypal, and was suppose to recieve the phone. As you may have already guessed the phone never arrived. I notified paypal who is the company I used to pay him with and they decided in my favor but were only able to recover $2.00 out of $265.00. My question is can i take this person to court and demand my money back even if they live in a different state? Please respond. Thank you

I personally think that one must follow his/her conscience and if that means 10 years in the brig then more power to you. Some people say signing up for military service requires a man or a woman to do their part to carry out ANY objective he or she is ordered to do. What about you. What do you think about it? Should soldiers and sea men who refuse to ship out be punished?

Think of the "average" family of 2 parents & 2-3 kids. How do YOU quantify a "middle-class" income - before or after taxes? I do have my own political affiliation, but I won't give it away...Just curious.

the way i view war is that one kid is going against another kid, and constantly fighting iin rage. is this what people think too? bush already thinks like a big baby, and when osama bin laden pushed the envelope, bush in his mind wanted his country's sucurity back. is this how the few deep cynical thinkers feel?

I thought I mis-heard when Davis Guggenheim said, "All of us were inspired by his fight of 30 years..." but I didn't. I thought global warming was first mentioned in the 80's! Did he predict the future?

just saw this on Fox News in Baltimore:
Tonight in Annapolis, demonstrators are expected to show their support for a bill that would allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at Maryland colleges. But, there's another bill under consideration that would prohibit illegal immigrants from getting a drivers license in the state

Will there be more traffic accidents if we give the illegal license? Do you think it's fair to give these benefits to the illegals?

Don't you think it's good that we went to war with Iraq and trying to make a great government for Iraq?

Sadam was just like Hitler, he killed millions of his own people. Do you think it's fair, we saved the jews in the holocaust, but even then we didn't save them until a couple years later after the government found out.

We are helping the people and saving millions of lives from being killed.

I posted this as "Was the War a Mistake" and no one read to the end, so talked about Iraq. This is about the US Civil War.

Retired generals support of a large anti-war movement in the US.
Many believe the war mistake- and illegal in fact.
Many believe president dishonest, ambitious, feeble-minded, a a perjured criminal.
War is dragging on with no end in sight, and many believe it is unwinnable.
Many assert that the president's policies have cost everyone to lose their civil liberties, with massive debts being run up, thanks to questionable civilian contracts.
Further, it is cited that the president overreached his authority, with the military usurping power by overriding the courts and constitution.
These are the issues discussed at the antiwar rally in NY ref June 4, 1863 New York Times page one. Headlines read THE PEACE PARTY …. OPPOSITION TO THE GOVERNMENT ….. DEMAND A CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES AND A DECLARATION OF PEACE WITH THE “UNCONQUERABLE SOUTH” …..

We lost more men in the first thirty minutes of d-day than we have during the entire war on terrorism.politicians are more concerned for their own political ambitions and personal and party agendas than they are for stopping terrorism or the safety and motivation of troops abroad.

I'm gonna sit back and watch them make complete fools out of themselves. It's obvious something needs to change, but do you really want these people running our country? When the time is right we will be the ones in the front seat!
Give me your thoughts,

ok, there is such a country in the world. In that country, if you tell people you admire the president, people will laugh at you, however, if you say you disagree with the president and you don't understand how that guy got elected in the first place, you make yourself look like a smart person or at least a normal person. Would you please tell me the name of that country ? and, when did this tradition start ?
