Negligence, non co-operations and professional jealousies of neighbours because it is true that not all farmers commited suicide. Loan comes later. Do not blame govt and policies all the time. Govt's responsibilities come only from public input. If there is no input how can the output come ? Why mediapersons are not bringing suggestions from experts and academicians who actually visited the affected places ? Is their sole profession to earn their living by criticising some people , govt or group ? Many mediamen turned politicians but situations remained same or deteriorated further. I'm afraid it is very negative and destructive approach. Positive & constructive approach must come simultaneously. Some media people are also enemy of nation and human society as a whole. After all , people have not declared them as best judges. So, they should not think them to be so also. Where do these sponsors go who put crores of rupees in programmes like 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and ditribute money to educated well off clever people and completely ignore these simple ,illiterate and so, badly exploited hapless villagers( actually food growers for the whole country people suffering from unforeseen natural calamities. Where are the so called many NGOs who do not put their feet on the land even an inch out of the boundary of city areas anywhere ? Govt agencis may pay immediate attention with top priorities in so affected areas before the farmers turn to terrorism as last alternative. I pray God that does never happen. Vidarbha state may me constuted as separate Uttaranchal, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand were made after careful study & planning. After all, Maharastra is a very big stae, may be all its parts uncontrollable, Idon't know. My heart weeps with tears of blood for such hapless farmers.

People who are vulnerable and have disturbed minds take these kind of steps. Too much of swabhiman is bad, but unfortunately, in Maharashtra some political parties are only discussing pride and " Garva". Farmers live in other states also, but they prefer to follow humbleness and live with it. They dont commit suicides.

But again, I will say that committing suicide also demands lot of courage, though it is a sin.

Farmers depend on money lenders for loan. They charge very high interest. If crop fails due to excessive or lack of rainfall, (Irrigation facilities are only on papers}farmers find it difficult to repay loan or interest. Persistent harassment from lender sharks drive them to commit suicide.

one more reason is that gov. of mah. is not forsited , our countrys farmers are depends on rain instead of proper irrigation system , building of small checkdam in every village is solution of water shortage , why punjab & gujarat farmers are not suicides , the reason is only they get proper water for their crops , & get multi crops in a year ., most of the gujarat villages have checkdam .
