It's time they drop their holier-than-thou attitude and just acknowledge that the right-wing does it too!
Whenever liberals say something, it doesn't matter how true it is, the conservatives claim the liberal is smoking pot and is a commie/hippie and that they should shut up. That is their response for most things from what I see.
Some conservatives even result to direct, offensive profanity...
Of course it happens with both liberals and conservatives.

It is the same for liberals AND conservatives!
Didn't I prove my point?

C'mon... I know there's people out there who got all wrapped up in the pre-war fervour and would now make it out like they were always anti.... Confess! Or why have you stood by your opinion from the start?

...Largely on the basis of Bush's stated intent to repeal the "Secret Evidence Repeal Act"

"Islamic political leaders cite Texas governor's outreach to their community"

"American Muslims and civil libertarians believe secret evidence, as it is currently used in Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) deportation hearings, is unconstitutional. They believe that it is used disproportionately against Muslims in America. A number of Muslim detainees have been held for up to four years based on evidence that is not revealed to them or their attorneys."

"Bush: On the issue of secret evidence – another creation of the Clinton/Gore Justice Department – I am also troubled by the disturbing stories of how this policy is being implemented. More and more, new immigrants, often Arab or Muslim immigrants, face deportation or even imprisonment based on evidence they've never seen and never been able to dispute. That's not the American way"

Do you think it would help curb crime and 18-30 yr old imprisonment and help teach discipline to many who have none?

I also think that it would give many a chance at further education to make a better life for themselves in the future through enlistment bonuses that already exist for education.

I think that without parties it would help to eliminate partisan politics. I am sick of politicians who support or condemn others due to their political affiliation.

I realize without parties there would be no caucuses to narrow the field down to a reasonable number of candidates on a ballot, but I'm sure it could be made to work.

I don't understand why there are so many Americans that believe that 9/11 was a work of the US government and President Bush. There is no reason why the US government would want to attack their own country and kill their own citizens. Some people say that the planes were actually US government planes, and a lot of people say that the Pentagon was hit by a missile.

If that's true ... what happened to all those people that were on the planes? People lost their fathers, and mothers and wifes and husbands, brothers and sisters on those flights, and I think it's awful for people to say that there was no one on the planes.

So many Americans ask questions about that, and give answers and they actually belive it. I am not from the US, I am from Canada and I don't understand why some Americans would want to believe such a thing if they claim to love their country?

I would really like to see how many of these people that bash Bush and the U.S. all the time, would dodge the draft if it was implemented. "Bush dodged the draft, Clinton dodged the draft....whats that I see on the news the draft is being started again....Hello, travelocity I need a plane ticket..."

I guess I'm not very smart because, although I try, I cannot for the life of me understand how Ted Kennedy gets re-elected all the time . Sure, I don't like him, but I also never see any Liberals touting him for anything either . Maybe it's a 'local' thing . But that still leaves me puzzled. . .. ... cause after a while, I would've thought that NATIONWIDE Embarrassment would have discouraged his supporters . That's my opinion and inquiry.. . . . . .. .. . Now who can help this dumb Conservative to understand just what the heck is it that gets him re-elected ??

Why didn't he simply let the inspectors do their jobs? After all, if "everybody" knew that Saddam had WMD, then "everybody" must have had some idea where they were? Why not let the inspection process conclude?

Could the answer be that the inspectors continuing failure to find WMD would only expose the sham intelligence that Bush needed to justify war?

Why do liberals want us to believe Bush is a know-nothing clown, yet turn around and credit him for duping Hillary and the rest of Congress into believing Iraq had WMD's, masterminding 9/11, and somehow capturing oil from the war in Iraq (and that sure worked out well for us, didn't it?)? Is he a genius or a burnt bulb?

We all know how the Clinton adminstration downsized the military. But since the Bush administration increased military funds substantially, let's look at something more recent, relevant, and significant to United States citizens today.
The Bush administration has cut funds from everything you can imagine. Funding has been cut for hospitals, veterans' healthcare programs, pharmaceutical companies, schools, worker safety and health grants, cancer and AIDS research, public healch advocacy groups, fire prevention programs, flood prevention programs, airports, etc...
The list goes on. He has used this to fund his "War on Terrorism". Therefore, the extra funds have been wasted because he has only increased the terrorists' recruitment drive and viciousness.
