I guess I'm not very smart because, although I try, I cannot for the life of me understand how Ted Kennedy gets re-elected all the time . Sure, I don't like him, but I also never see any Liberals touting him for anything either . Maybe it's a 'local' thing . But that still leaves me puzzled. . .. ... cause after a while, I would've thought that NATIONWIDE Embarrassment would have discouraged his supporters . That's my opinion and inquiry.. . . . . .. .. . Now who can help this dumb Conservative to understand just what the heck is it that gets him re-elected ??

Kennedy has championed a lot of popular and "obvious" causes that are hard to publicly dispute. He would always choose issues that seemed one sided, such as better pay for workers, and increased unemployment benefits. If you oppose these benefits or protections, you seem heartless, when in fact the truth may be that the programs are so incredibly inefficient that they are a scandalous waste of money.
I remember one Federal Program in particular: I think it was a program to give advice to people seeking employment. You can imagine Teddy championing this. He could strut and bluster about how poor people need a little helping hand to surmount the big, bad evil barriers to employment. If you opposed him, you'd look heartless. But it turns out this program served so few people that it cost something like $40,000 for everyone they counseled.
Lastly, Kennedy gets re-elected because he swipes so much Federal money for his home state that they love him. Well, I guess fiscal responsibility DOESN'T start at home.

I used to artwork a activity that required me to do technical artwork for various the richest, maximum useful, maximum extensive-unfold human beings interior the international and that i might say that the rich are a mixed bag in basic terms like anybody else. there have been some that are definitely astounding human beings and a few that finished wealth by stepping on others and handle human beings like animals. after all the main company experts and entrepreneurs and politicians I met, I concluded that the only ones i did no longer like have been the bankers (who bragged approximately how severe they could make their overdraft expenditures), the Shell gas organisation (who bragged approximately destroying existence interior the Gulf of Mexico) and the girls that artwork for particular cosmetics agencies who're in basic terms straightforward witches.

That's OK. I'm still confused as to how Bush got re-elected given the major league bungling during his first time.
I guess P.T. Barnum & H.L. Mencken were right.

Considering Bush lied to start a war, when compared to Kennedy, Kennedy should be up for saint hood or something. Bush re-stole the presidency after his myriad of failures and deaths of thousands. It just shows that Americans as a whole are sometimes oblivious to things that truly matter as well as things that do not matter as much.

Ted runs for a state elected office...all politics are local...therefore he is returned by those who benefit from his service whether you like it or not.

The people who liked him were willing to overlook even his worst faults and the worst things he had done.
That happens in both parties. I don't think anyone who voted for Bush ought to complain about Teddy Kennedy.
