I supported it initially & continue to do so. I think some things need to be done differently & hope Petreous will get things straightened out. Bush should have changed generals earlier.

No, many Republicans did no longer help the warfare in Iraq, it became no longer an invasion. Invasion implies dropping your united states of america to the invader, which by no skill got here approximately. The warfare became voted on by utilising congress and exceeded by utilising a huge majority of the two Dem's and Rep's, and became no longer basically fought for WMD's. there have been many different motives for it. yet this is history, and regrettably could have been carried out very equivalent to the way they're doing it in Syria., Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and so on. that's NOW noted as the Arab Spring, below Obama, yet hundreds of voters have nevertheless died. it continues to be basically the removing of a very undesirable dictator. They tried it in Iran and failed, keep in mind? a lot of human beings died there too. the version in Iraq is that many individuals died struggling with for what the Arab Springs human beings are dying for now.

Never did, never will, and any idiot with an ounce of historical knowledge, opps, just omitted the entire American nation, knows that Iraq and Afganistan is a total mistake.

Finally, however, and as the American and UK armies cut and run, leaving Iraq in a mess, they have their oil companies demanding that the Iraq Government, or puppet, sign over ownershop of the oil fields, and you can bet its for a song.

Now tell me that all of the innocent people did ot get murdered for oil.

May their road to hell be a slippy and fast one, and damned soon, the sooner the better.

I have always supported the war and haven't changed my mind. I know what we see on TV is tragic for civilians and for our soldiers but women have a vote for democracy for the first time in their lives which was denied under a brutal and awful tyrant. We are not shown how the British army who should be thanked and congratulated for their part in restoring schools and training and building an Iraqi army, where men can work towards the free lives they have longed for... I know what we are shown looks like a disaster area but freedom is worth fighting for, however long or however tragic. What some people don't know is the last ruler had plans to wipe out other parts of the world, he wasn't going to stop with Curds, remember the footage where he gassed men women and children and left them lying in the street...
As W Wallace said "YOU WILL NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM" it's God given, and worth fighting for...
I would like to see more of the restoration that's taken place on our TV screens...(get rid of the radicals) and let the hard working decent honest Iraqi's have their country back...

Based on Bush & Cheney's assertions concerning WMDs and a connection between Saddam & 9/11, I initially supported the war, STRONGLY. Since ALL of those assertions/justifications have been thoroughly discredited, I have concluded that the war was a mistake. Knowing all this, my continuing support for the war would be morally repellent.

My question for Cons is, why do you keep repeating things that have been shown to be lies? How do you justify this war on moral grounds?

No. Just the opposite, actually.

I initially OPPOSED this war, because I have the opinion that the ME is full of crazy people who care nothing about their own lives, and that is a scary world-view that I would like to leave as alone as possible. Now the liberals will all call me racist. Whatever.

Now I support the war. Because we are there. Because we took out a madman (who needed to be taken out), but he also was highly effective at keeping out radical Islam (Iran and Hezbollah).

And now that he is gone, someone has to keep radical Islam out of Iraq long enough for Iraq to get stable.

Because otherwise, we will have WWIII on our hands.

I never did support it, since the Bible tells how these countries have been having wars since the Old Testiment times. Now, we've lost so many wonderful, patriotic sons and daughters, on a battlefield that will never stop being one, that I keep hoping the politicians will realize the situation, and bring our sons and daughters home. The United States tries to be the savior of every country that gets in trouble. But, this is not a new 'trouble' that these countries have. It is the same trouble they've had since the countries became countries.

Never did. You gotta be thick to support that. I knew what a mess it would be and I also know that the US will not win it in the end. A sorry mess. And the Iraq war has nothing to do with the freedom of the US. Its silly to try and make that connection. Its about oil.

I think in the beginning, I was against it (and liberal) - but not anymore. It is a shame that we are there right now - but I feel it would be a wasteful TRAVISTY to remove us.

It is a "Catch 22"...... We are losing men in this battle as every day passes... However, it would be a horrid thought to see us removed after the men (and women) who have already lost thier lives were "lost in vain"....... They died for the freedom of this Country. Not the vacillating views and decisions of our leaders....

While I am Thankful for all of our Service men and women, I am also greatful that I am Free because of them. I would not ever want to be in the military or on the front lines. I cannot fathom that any more than I can fathom being terrorized by American haters.'

When we initilally started talking about the war I was unsure. They had all the bells and whistles going. Color coded terror alerts, anthrax scares, duct tape, drawings of mobile chemical weapons labs (that was laughable), "in the form of a mushroom cloud", you know what I mean. When we did attack and they gave up so easily and mission accomplished, I thought cool it's over. But we stayed and are staying. That's what I don't like. Secure the borders, let fight it out themselves.

I never supported the Iraq War because the Inspectors was on TV and told us their are no WMD. When Bush went before the United Nations and got there approval the United Nations was sending the Weapon Inspector back in and Bush made orders to stop them and not let them go back in. They got to the entrance and was turned back by the Soldiers that Bush had commanded not to let them enter, That is why reason the United Nations turned against Bush.
