It would violate the freedom of speech. and is it still illegal to crticize the goverment?

Slander, defamation, or liable, Can land you in trouble but if you just told someone you had a bad experience with such and such a company, they can do nothing, and unless you have a trial in the works you can outline that bad experience to your heart's content.

You can sue people for pretty much anything. It's likely that unless it was directly defamatory speech, like "Kraft Macaroni and Cheese is made from the fat of young children!" or something like that, a judge won't "convict" you for expressing your opinion. If it was just something like "Mitsubishi cars suck!" then there's nothing the company can do about it.

Anybody can sue anybody. A dis-honest lawyer may take the case. Do you have proof of your claims? It isn't illegal to criticize the government - we doe it here on Yahoo answers all the time!
