Do you think our outrage at the Iraq war is misplaced? It seems illegals are slaughtering more Americans than the Iraq war:

Im from Chicago so Im in full support of anything pro union. I hate big bussiness and will never buy or accept anything that was made by Fannie May for the rest of my life after what they pulled. I was just wondering what the rest of America feels about this.

I am in 7th grade and need to write a short essay on the Vietnam War. I have found many websites, but they are all very detailed. Can anyone give me brief facts as to causes, important events and final outcome and/or direct me to a website that has a more simplified discussion of events for kids. Thanks.

This is a serious question. I am not an anarchist, and I am not a scofflaw. I am merely bringing up a point about laws and human nature.

If it weren't for fear of punishment, would the authorities have anywhere near the power they have now?

And if it weren't for sympathy for another being, what would stop me from committing murder?

Ok so we go to work, pay our taxes and national insurance. Our taxes pay for other people to not have to go to work at all, they pay for their dental care ( uk) they get free college courses if they are on benifits, free housing, free this -that and the other... i pay my national insurance and because I have a job i also have to pay for my own dentist bills.
I understand we need to pay tax other wise there would be a huge rise in crime...but i think they get too much and we get nothing. I don't take anything from the government but i get no reward for doing so, any savings i have when I die will be highly taxed, why should they be when i already payed tax on it? I should be able to leave it to who ever i want tax free.
It just annoys me- what do you think is a better solution to it all?
I think there are a lot of people who could work and should be forced to and the money can be used to better support those who desperately need it.
what do you think?

17 Republican Senators voted in favor of the resolution on Saturday. If 17 Republicans have crossed party lines, why are you so excited that Leiberman may join the Republicans? One person does not offset 17.

First off, i am a conservative, though to do NOT support Bush. Shortly after the start of the Iraq war, the head of the VA system went before congress and begged for more money. He got none. He went on 60 minutes and again begged for more money. He got none.
Having served my country in the US Army, this outrages me. The fault lies at the top, and i think our troops deserve the BEST. It was bad enough some troops went into combat under armed and without proper armor. Its even worse that after being wounded from that, they came home to a broken VA system. Why have no charges been filed over this?

In another blaze of intellectual accumen, the Liberal leadership in the Senate in it's insane effort to cripple the Presidents ability to wage war is putting up a motion to do that. In doing so the Democrats are likely to lose Liebermann and thus hand the Senate to the GOP.

From the halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom,
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marines.

Our flag's unfurl'd to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job -
The United States Marines.

Here's health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
