I think this is an honest question, unfortunatley you are asking people who both deny supporting abortion, while simultaneously wishing YOUR mother had one. What do you expect? I see that Amazon has a version of Answers...maybe those of us who are targets of hate should go there...

Simple: Women don't have abortions because they can't properly take care of children -- polls by Planned Parenthood show that the vast majority of women (over 75%) who get abortions do so because to have a child would be "inconvenient" for them. Simply put, most women want to play but don't want to pay. Besides, how do you know that bringing a child into this world when the child cannot be "properly" taken care of is against the rights of the child? Have you ever asked an unborn fetus whether he/she would prefer to be killed or to live under adverse circumstances? BOTTOM LINE: The issue of abortion goes way beyond the rights of the mother vs. the rights of the unborn child -- it goes toward being a responsible adult and holding people accountable for their actions. If you're old enough to f**k around then you're old enough to be a parent, and that applies equally to male and female. You want to behave like an adult and have sex? Then ACT like an adult and take the proper responsibility if the woman gets pregnant.

There are good reasons to favor legalized abortion - I don't see how society can force a woman to carry a pregnancy to term.

But your argument is too broad. Many people - in prisons, retirement homes, mental institutions, homeless shelters, AIDS hospices - are neglected, unwanted, inconvenient and may not be "properly taken care of." PLEASE explain how your logic would not also apply to them.

Or, I'll make it easier. Why would your logic NOT apply, with the same force, to a newborn?

Who will pay for the children born if fewer abortions take place? the same people who pay for the other folks I mentioned - the taxpayer. Me.

I believe that viable fetuses should be taken out of the womb alive. Is that too much to ask?

Destroying those we cannot care for cannot possibly make us a more compassionate society. Just the opposite.

I, too, would like to see that "every child is a wanted child." But something tells me that destroying the ones we don't want isn't the way to go about achieving it.

I promised myself - no more abortion questions this week! :)

Because once a child is born, most people are aware of child abuse or neglect and there is usually criminal charges involved and the child is removed from the home where the abuse or neglect is and placed elsewhere to have a decent life.

Sucking an infant apart in the womb is a hell of alot different,no comparison there my friend.

Why is it that liberals are all for killing a child yet not for the death penalty when an adult made the decision to take another human beings life?

If you can't take care of the child...either take precautions before hand as to not get pregnant or put the child up for adoption as there are many families that can take care of a child that can not have them

Because as a human being it has rights I mean they are not worthless bits of cells, if that was the case there are a lot or people that need retroactive abortions and that should be legal also.

There is more to it than that.

I find it interesting that they want to kill the unborn child of a sex crime. No "Oh the poor little baby" for those children.

Because you have the option of adoption. Here's a question for you, if you aren't ready to become a parent (father or mother) why are you putting yourself into a situation that may cause you to become one (having $ex)?

Johnny 2 times says "I'm not saying that I agree one way or the other, but you should realize that there are lists miles long of people waiting to adopt babies."
