He has had so many unkind words regarding the award, why is he bragging about a nomination instead of politely declining?

Because he's very 'proud' to have been 'nominated' for a Nobel. You can be 'proud' of 'recognition' even if you don't 'believe in' the awards themselves ... and he hasn't 'won it' yet, which is when he would be able to 'politely decline' it, and not before. But if he's really 'human' I don't think he'd 'politely decline' the award, since most of them have a 'cash award' that goes with them, and by taking the Nobel foundation's 'cash' he could be 'helping to stop them giving such ridiculous awards' ...

Keep in mind, the prize, when awarded, comes with a rather goodly sum of money...

It's called satire..........it one of the many tools he uses to entertain and educate his audience,the largest in the history of talk radio.The fact that the Nobel peace prize is such a joke, is what makes Rush bragging about his nomination so funny.(with the likes of such dictator lovin' prize winners as Jimmy Carter,Yasser Arafat,Nelson Mandela and the UN) Other than propping up thugs and dictators around world, and being anti-America and anti-Israel,the raping of young girls by UN peace keepers, what is the purpose of the UN?

when did they start giving out Nobel prizes for hate??? that could be the only possible award that man could win. He is so full of hate that he is as bad as any terrorist.
