If we keep killing all the guys off in wars, the ration of men to women will be that there are so many more women than men alive.

This will lead to inequality, men will be scarce, possible more temptations for polygamous relations as people are driven to desperation.

I pity what will happen to women & kids, the loneliness, the despair, does anyone else thing about this too?

I am the deputy editor of a magazine and I am under stress because the editor, who got the job by default, is totally incompetent. She doesn't listen to anyone else, has no opinion on anything and is utterly disorganized, refusing to adhere to our plans, despite orders from the bosses. She's been doing this for over 2 years now. Our publisher, who is aware of her behaviour, apparently asked a colleague what they thought about her the other day and this person told him straight. However, she is never dealt with properly and I don't think the bosses want to face up to the fact that she can't do the job. I want to make an official complaint as I am close to quitting, but should I email, write a letter or do it face to face to be taken most seriously? Also, should I address the publisher (who manages the magazine department) or the managing directors of the company?

Some of the mobile telecommuncation companies in Nigeria have been short-changing their subscribers with poor services and charging for incomplete calls. Sometimes, you do not hear what the other person is saying, yet you are charged for the call. So many people are affected and I would want know if a class action is possible in Nigeria and exactly what obtains in other countries with mobile telecommunications.

I am currently in the process of moving. I informed my current landlord that I was going to be out by the 1st of March. They told me that I could just use my security deposit as payment for Feb. rent, my mistake was not getting it in writing. They now want their rent, I have got most of my personal belongings in a storage unit, however to avoid conflict with him I have been getting what was left out in the morning before going to work. He can be very nasty. I went there this morning and they locks have been changed, I called his wife and basically they are holding my stuff ransom and said that since the electric was taken out of my name they felt they had the right to do this. I did request the change of the electric, but they changed it earlier then I rquested, the phone is still on in my name and I have some personal belongings in the home. I am afraid that if I push they will just throw my stuff in the trash and then I am screwed. They did not get an eviction or a notice to vacate

I have been hearing it as the "cervical cancer" vaccine, and while several strains of HPV are the majority cause of the cancer, it doesn't deal with all the cancer. It has only been tested for 5 years or so, and there is no proof that it will continue to protect the women later in life. What about the vast amount of men infected? How much progress can be made with still half the population infected? Merk (the sole patent rights owner) has also been on a widespread lobbying campaign to get governors (about 20 something are considering to) to issue executive orders to mandate this. However, in the series of 3 shot treatments, it cost $360 per treatment. Some people say it will promote promiscuity as young girls will think they are protected from STDs, and that it doesn't promote abstinence. However it has been approved for girls as old as 26, so what is the hurry? Why mandate it, rather than let the parents choose, and provide financial assistance who do chose, but can't afford?

The term poverty line is defined by the census bureau. Since they increase the amount of earnings considered poverty every year no matter how much the economy grows a certain number of people will always be below that line.

Due to anti-terrorist laws lately, they are restricting more & more things we can do, or send, in mail, on planes etc.

I heard in Canada, they confisticated all the guns & weaponry off the civilian populace.

How many know, just like I do, that if or when that happens over here in the usa, only the CRIMINALS & cops will have weapons?

It has been proven, they never catch all the bad guys, & having a gun can deter some would be criminals... And they will have to catch the criminals before THEY will give up their weapons. Criminals will build their own or get it off the black market if they have to. Anyone else think this could be a problem for honest & law abiding citizens?

one thing that comes to mind is school uniforms. wouldn't our kids be able to focus more on the task at hand if they're not constantly worried about what they are wearing. I have put three kids through school and I know this is a factor. also the new way they try to speed up the whole learning process is obviously not working when we are 17th out of 22 in education. high school graduates can't even read well. do we need to go back to the old drilling methods once used in schools. there are things that can be done that really don't cost anything. how about corporal punishment....when I went to school we were too afraid not to sit there and learn because if we got out of line you would get your butt set on fire.......any ideas?

With the plans by the US to place missile sites in Poland and the Czeck Republic there is massive alarm in Russia. Russia naturaly sees this as a major threat and will most likely built more weapons of its own in response. With the US and Russia no longer as ideological enemies and with strong trade links between them, what is the point in this? It will only cost the US taxpayer Billions of dollars paying for crap they dont need and the US military is stretched thin as it is. What are the noe cons playing at by trying to provoke the Russians for no good reason? US expansion into Eastern Europe is just pointless in my opinion and can only make the world more dangerous than it already is

This should come as no surprise to anyone who has looked at the military record of George W. Bush. With a candor that has since disappeared, he told the Houston Chronicle in 1994: “I was not prepared to shoot my eardrum out with a shotgun in order to get a deferment [Vietnam] . Nor was I willing to go to Canada. So I chose to better myself by learning how to fly airplanes.”

At the height of the Tet Offensive, when American troops were up against the wall, when the Viet Cong had taken Hue and the American Embassy in Saigon, Bush Clan clout got him into the Texas Air National Guard, despite lousy scores on his pilot aptitude test. Ironically, the unit was known locally as Air Canada because it offered all the benefits of a flight north of the border, without the weather and legal problems. To make doubly sure, he ticked the box saying “No” to overseas service.
