When i found out in November that bank of america bought out my credit card i didn't care.
i saw the news 2 weeks ago and heard on Lou Dobbs about bank of america giving credit cards out to illegals.
I did some research and found this story on all the news sites. So what i did was paid off my card and canceled it.
I told them not to send anything more to my house.
they asked why? I have had this card since 1995 and i told them that first and fore most it is a crime to give someone a credit card with someone elses S.S.# I was told these people were not using stolen #'s. and then i told them second off it is moraly wrong to undermine the country like this. in the end WE the customer pays for it with higher apr's
TO GET THE POINT ACROSS I THINK WE ALL NEED TO TURN OFF OUR BANK OF AMERICA CARDS, LOANS, ETC...
AND SHOW THEM THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! I have told 8 people about this story and they also turned off there accounts because of their practice.

hello, i am currently in the middle of a child support case, i have to go back on march 1st for a permanent child support order. i filed on the father of my children. to make a long story short, i put in a request for a states attorney through child and was told to check back to make sure i will have one present. i checked today and was told no one has responded to my request. my question is, is there some type of way i could find an attorney on my own without all the fees??? i was also told on my first child support court date that i could not handle my kid's tuition in that court room. i was told this when i tried to present receipts, i thought that was kind of odd. any help or advice would be appreciated!!! i live in chicago in the southwest suburbs. my court date is downtown.

It was the first day of school and a new student named Pedro Martinez, the son of a Mexican restaurateur, entered the fourth grade.

The teacher said, "Lets begin by reviewing some American history. "Who said Give me Liberty, or give me Death?"

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Pedro, who had his hand up. "Patrick Henry, 1775."

"Very good!" said the teacher. "Now, who said, Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth?"

Again, no response except from Pedro: "Abraham Lincoln, 1863."

The teacher snapped at the class, "Class, you should be ashamed! Pedro, who is new to our country, knows more about its history than you do!"

She heard a loud whisper: "Screw the Mexicans!"

"Who said that?" she demanded.

Pedro put his hand up. "Jim Bowie, 1836."

At that point, a student in the back said, "Im gonna puke." The teacher glared and asked, "All right! Now, who said that?"

Again, Pedro answered, "George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991."

Now furious, another student yelled, "Oh yeah? Suck this!"

Pedro jumped out of his chair waving his hand and shouting to the teacher, "Bill Clinton to Monica Lewinsky, 1997!"

Now, with almost a mob hysteria, the teacher said, "If you say anything else, Ill kill you!"

Pedro frantically yelled at the top of his voice, "Gary Condit to Chandra Levy, 2001."

The teacher fainted, and as the class gathered around her on the floor, someone said, "Oh ****, were in BIG trouble now!"

Pedro whispered, "Saddam Hussein, 2003."

Finally, someone threw an eraser at Pedro and another student shouted, "Duck"!

The teacher, just waking up and still a bit out of it, asked "Who said that?

Pedro: "Dick Cheney 2006!"

Why shouldn't smoking be banned from public places? It's a proven health hazard, but yet people are still able to affect other people's health! It just doesn't make sense. I'm glad some states/cities are starting to ban it, and I certainly hope my state does it as well!

Everyone knows that colonization was a terrible and godless thing, and that de-colonization was even worse. Could the West re-colonize Africa and parts of the Middle East and implement fair laws, government and infrastructure?

I'm not saying I think that should happen, but do you think it COULD happen? I feel like some of those powerful men are thinking about it.

About george Tenet:.... Yet his legacy may distill into a taunting shorthand: slam-dunk.

As in, it was a "slam-dunk" that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. Or so Tenet said, with the kind of unambiguous self-assurance that Bush so admires. These will go down as Tenet's famous last words, even though he uttered them more than 4 years ago. As a result 3,147 men/women have died over lies.

Think Globally, Act Locally refers to the argument that global environmental problems can turn into action only by considering ecological, economic, and cultural differences of our local surroundings. This phrase was originated by Rene Dubos as an advisor to the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in 1972. In 1979, Dubos suggested that ecological consciousness should begin at home. He believed that there needed to be a creation of a World Order in which "natural and social units maintain or recapture their identity, yet interplay with each other through a rich system of communications". In the 1980's, Dubos held to his thoughts on acting locally, and felt that issues involving the environment must be dealt with in their "unique physical, climatic, and cultural contexts."

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What is politics?" Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way: Im the breadwinner of the family, so lets call me capitalism. Your Mom, shes the administrator of the money, so well call her the Government. Were here to take care of your needs, so well call you the people. The nanny, well consider her the Working Class. And your baby brother, well call him the Future. Now, think about that and see if that makes sense," So the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what dad had said. Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper. So the little boy goes to his parents room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nannys room. Finding the door locked, he peeks in the keyhole and sees his father in bed with the nanny. He gives up and goes back to bed. The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I thin k I Understand the concept of politics now." The father says, "Good son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about." The little boy replies, "Well, while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is sound asleep, the People are being ignored and the Future is in deep sh1t."

I firmly believe in the war on terror. When a dandy lion grows in the yard you don't get rid of the problem by picking the flowering part. You must get to the root to get the proper result.

I am a young adult that has the money to purchase insurance, but choose not to. If I would rather spend my money on digital cable, a cell phone, a nice car, etc. isn't that my right as an American? If I knowingly make the choice to use my money in other ways, like most young people without insurance do, what is the problem? That sounds like true person freedom to me.
