He believes in Jesus Christ, but a bit differently than the "average Christian". He is part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons). The reason that most Christians have a problem with the Mormon belief of Jesus is that they believe that Jesus is the SON of God and not God himself.

Actually, there are much more solid conservatives out there. Just not ones that the media profiles.

Check into Sam Brownback or Mike Huckabee.

Mormons believe in Jesus, they just believe in EXTRA stuff, too. Much more than can be explained on Yahoo Answers.

Cheers, mate.

I'm sure he will be addressing this soon, as questions about his religion have been increasing. He does believe in the Lord, I think people still think plural marriages are allowed in the Mormon Religion, and that is no longer true. He is an interesting candidate, and I think would be worth checking out. Thanks (I also like Giuliani)

Romney is a Mormon, also known as the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. Does this answer your question?

He's not a conservative. He's a social conservative. That's just a liberal who's against abortion and gay rights.
