As much as I like our current president (VS the last joke...) How about an Easy Bake Oven? See. I have a sense of humor...

The George Foreman Grill.
He got a lot of hype for awhile as being a great alternative to an actual cooking device (or actual politician, as it were), but then the novelty wore off.
And, as it turns out, the food (policies) he produces tastes like garbage, but, is in fact healthier... if you can stomach it.

I was actually going to say blender...but maybe he'd be a microwave. More specifically, an empty one that is turned on. You can see that physically the microwave seems to be in decent order - the numbers are counting down, the thing inside is spinning - but nothing is being accomplished.
