He found this dumb police scanner while he was dumpster diving weeks ago, now all he does is listen to it.

He thinks the cops don't respond quickly enough to the calls, and that he could do better.

He is also obsessed with Superheros like Batman and Spiderman.

He's getting really whacked out, and was even more inspired when he saw this story on the news:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,252107,00.html

I'm really worried he will put on a mask & take to the streets himself any day now.

He's 30 years old, lives a stable life, no history of psychiatric illness, what is going on here?

What should I do?

I'm not going to say that most Republicans are racist. That would be an unfair generalization, and also wouldn't be true. But, the overwhelming majority of bigots are Republicans. I do feel comfortable saying that.

The republics sponsored the bill and passed it on their watch while funding 0% of the wall.

They are worthless, they didn't take care of the 2007 budget on their watch either, just keep passing the buck to those that have a brain.

1.8 million Iraqis displaced, 2994 American lives lost since “Mission Accomplished”, and about $10 billion squandered by the U.S. government on Iraq reconstruction.
There are no WMD's in Iraq. Saddam Hussein is dead. Our troops are mired in a deadly, full-blown civil war. The vast majority -- 70% -- of Americans disagree with his Iraqi policies.....So why does Bush want to escalate our involvement with 21,500 more brave men and women?

I have heard some disturbing things about the whole Mahdi/12th imam character in the Shia half of Islam. Some people say he is a 5 year old kid who's supposed to hold more power than Jesus, and that he's believed to still be alive even though he vanished over a millenium ago. According to some rumors Ahminejad, al-Sadr, Nasarallah and crew all believe that its their religious duty to "speed up" the battle of Armageddon because it will summon this Mahdi kid back from wherever and he'll lead Muslims to victory over everyone and everything.... aka Shiite Islamic World State. And I'm sure just about everyone in the world would agree that the most holy and fought-over city in the history of western civ is Jerusalem, which also happens to be the capital of the only Jewish world state... which happen to be the race Ahminejad seems particularly interested in "Solving."
Do Shias believe in this, and if so, has the Cold War idea of "Mutually Assured Destruction" gone straight down the toilet?

1/ It will drive the poor people off the road (like me)
2/ it will allow the rich people to get to there places of work/home etc a lot quicker without the hassle of delays
3/ it will help labour to get more money out of us ,and boy do they need it for all the good things they do for this country
4/ The government will able to keep track of where we go and how fast we travel,so they can fine for breaking the speed limit
5 / it will help to make more people use the excellent public transport that we now have in this country.

FOUR MAJOR TRANSFORMATIONS

Currently, there are four major transformations that are shaping political,
economic and world events. These transformations have profound implications
for American business owners, our culture and our way of life.

1. The War in Iraq

There are three major monotheistic religions in the world: Christianity,
Judaism and Islam. In the 16th century, Judaism and Christianity reconciled
with the modern world. The rabbis, priests and scholars found a way to
settle up and pave the way forward. Religion remained at the center of
life, church and state became separate. Rule of law, idea of economic
liberty, all these are defining points of modern Western*individual rights,
human rights civilization. These concepts started with the Greeks but
didn't take off until the 15th and 16th century when Judaism and
Christianity found a way to reconcile

It seems like many Republicans (NOT ALL!) do not want to do anything good for the common people of America. They don't want to protect the environment, they want to take away the civil liberties of homosexuals, they give tax cuts to the rich but not anyone else. They really seem to only care about themselves(upper class white men) and their own interests.

They don't really want to pass social reforms. They're not the ones who raised minimum wage, the democrats did.

Is it so hard to try to improve your country? If you are a lawmaker, why not do something good instead of doing something selfish?

The European Union currently has 27 member states. 13 of the member states have the Euro single currency. These numbers for participating countries are steadily increasing. It is hoped that eventually all European countries will be members of the EU and will use the Euro single currency.

The population of the EU is 495 million. This is third only to China and India, and compares to 301 million for the USA. The EU has the same size economy as USA ($12,900 billion) with China coming in third with $10,000 bn.

So will the future of the European Union be a single country spanning a continent called the United States of Europe? Is such an outcome desirable for Europeans and/or the world? Will Europe become the next superpower to rival the USA?

I'd like to ask you opinion on this.

I applied for a job recently - it was an administrator's job on a salary of £16,000 pa + benefits, and a certain amount of home-based work. It appealed to me as I have a small baby at home who I'd like to stay home with as much as I can. I'm a graduate with loads of experience.

I got an interview which went very well, they were impressed with my CV and my personality and I felt pretty good about.

I didn't get the job in the end and I rang up (as I always do) to ask for feedback on my application and areas where I might need to improve or which may have let me down.

The lady I spoke to said that there was nothing wrong with my application at all - they were very impressed, but they had had 250 applicants for the job! And out of those only 230 hadn't even got an interview!!!!

How on earth does this sit with "full employment"?!?! 250 applicants and 230 don't even get to the interview stage?

I'm now looking for cleaning work.
