Clinton Warns Bush On Attacking Iran
WASHINGTON, Feb. 14, 2007(AP) Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton warned President Bush on Wednesday not to take any military action against Iran without getting congressional approval first.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/02/14/politics/main2479399.shtml
"If the administration believes that any, any use of force against Iran is necessary, the president must come to Congress to seek that authority," Clinton said in a Senate speech.

Clinton, a member of the Armed Services Committee, voted in 2002 to give Mr. Bush the authority to use military force in Iraq — a vote that has prompted some Democrats to demand that she repudiate.

Since then, the New York senator has become an outspoken critic of Mr. Bush's handling of the war. She said the new Democratic Congress must not let him make similar mistakes in the increasingly tense relationship with Iran.

"It would be a mistake of historical proportion if the administration thought that the 2002 resolution authorizing force against Iraq was a blank check for the use of force against Iran without further congressional authorization," Clinton said.

She also insisted the resolution authorizing force against those responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks did not allow for U.S. action now against Iran

If India and China join together then these combined forces would be able to defeat all the other nations. So should we join with China or not ?

I'm an Italian citizen and I've overstayed of 30 days my 90 days tourist Visa waiver programme in the U.S. in 2001. First I got sick and then I was afraid of flying after Sept. 11. I don't have medical certificates. When I left I gave in at the airport the expiration card but the passport wasn't stamped. Since then my passport expired so I got a new one. I would like to go back for a holiday at some stage, will I have any trouble getting in? WILL MY NAME COME UP SOMEWHERE?I'm afraid that if I ask the embassy the problem will come out even if there wasn't one and if I just buy a flight I'm afraid they'll send me back. Is there a safe way to find out what I should do? advice from informed people very much appreciated. thanks.

Instead of co-operating together on agendas they seem to drag the other side down in order to build themselves up when they should be doing what they are doing for the good of the country not themselves.

The shocking trial and sentencing of the youths (or at least claim to be youths) who killed/were involved in the killing of a woman holding a baby at a christening and then a week later stabbing a girl who had supposedly 'disrespected the killer'. Read the story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6353379.stm. It's shocking and I am sick of reading stories like this - what is our government doing to police illegal, criminal immigrants. I say force them to have dental checks to prove their age and kick them out - if you commit such a serious crime then you should lose all right to your 'liberty', don't you? These three need deporting asap - what do you think?

I was wondering in case of an emergency or something if this would be possible. I'm interested in other planes too, such as smaller private planes and larger planes like the 777.

Thanks a million!

I was in the post office today, there were only 2 customers and two staff and we got on to the suject of taxes, 4 out of 4 said that they were sick and tired of being taxed to the hilt and being told that we have never had it so good when the reality is far from the truth. One of the staff was having to do overtime to cover for holidays and she mentioned that the only people that would benefit was the government because of the extra tax, we all concluded that they should just keep all our cash and dole out a tenner to spend each week, any coments?

Criminals are criminals. If they commit a murder (not aggrevated), rape, or rob with weapons and injure bystanders, they are usaully let out within 30 years. Why?

Once a thief, always a thief. This is true despite whatever bullcrap you religious people would like to say. This is human nature. If they have commited violent crimes before, they will do it again. So why not give EVERYONE who kills, rapes, or commits grand theft, the death penalty? It's cheaper, safer, easier, and prevents crime. If you know the penalty for murder is death, you wouldn't do it. But now, if you kill, you only get 25+ years. You are willing to do it.

Also, this would decrease black crime rates, since they are not scared of time, but of death. Their average lower IQ than other races cannot make them realize not to commit violent crimes, and so this death threat will be able to persuade them. (If you would like to argue that blacks are not dumber on average, I have 2 papers to prove you wrong).

I'm currently on a year tour overseas, and I'm getting really jaded with a lot of stuff. I love the Army, I feel really proud to be doing what I'm doing, and at such an early age (21). But the thing is, I can't pass my APFT. I haven't since I left AIT a year and a half ago -- and when I did, it was by one second on the run. I've tried to push myself, and work to pass it, but the "It's all in your head!" comments keep coming. Whether it is or it isn't, I've got three failed APFT's in my OMPF, back to back. I want to move on with my life -- I'm really into video editing, and I have a natural gift with it. I want to pursue an education, and if I get out on a General under Honorable Conditions or better, then I qualify for the Hazelwood Act in Texas (paid tuition). I'm ready to move on with my life, but my NCO/CO support channel here don't want me to get out -- Apparently I'm some really great asset, offered to forge DA-31's -- Should I push for seperation, or stick for 2 more years?
