I enlisted in the Marines, but Army is probably around the same w/ these topics.

-How long is the Machine Gunners Course at the School of Infantry?
-Whats the difference between a pull up and a "dead pull up"?
-This one might just sound plain stupid but when you have to do crunches; do they mean like situps or when your on your back w/ knees curled up and just kind of raise your head and kiss your knee?
-And to my knowledge, the Machine Gunners use the 40mm, 50 Cal, and 7.62 along w/ other stuff but those are the main ones. What gun do you see most Machine Gunners using in Iraq?

----
As you probably noticed I havnt ENLISTED, but Im in the Delayed Program for when I get out of high school this year. Thanks for the help.

like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and others be allowed to run for president, when the only thing they show this country is failure and corruption? I think this is why our nation is so confused about what is right and wrong, because of people like them. We as a Nation should not allow this kind of behavior for our #1 man. This is the reason why our country is starting to go down hill. We need a President who never smoked a joint, snorted or whatever they did. We need Presidents who still have all their brain cells intact.

I’ve signed up for the Army and I’m going to Basic training in Fort Jackson next couple of weeks. I’m really nervous and I don’t know what to expect. Can anyone tell me what I can expect during the first 2 weeks of Basic Training? Is it really bad? Will I get smoked a lot?

Also, Isn’t there like a reception I have to go to first prior to basic training? What do you do there and what was that like? And are people nice to you?

and let everyone fend for themselves? Whatever happen to survival of the fittest? Now we are the fittest supporting weak POS.

If you have a kid that you can't support...give it up for adoption. Let someone who CAN take care of it...not let you have a free ride at the taxpayers expense.

If you come here illegally...NOTHING!!! Because there isn't anything.

Let those that ARE responsible and productive have what they earn INSTEAD of taking what they have away.

So, let's do away with all this feel good horse and let people man up and take care of themselves.

Except for the elderly...we owe them. Too bad citizens now don't have the work eithics they did.

Harry Reid is the U.S. Senate Majority Leader; a strong and outspoken Democrat. He also happens to be a Mormon. I've seen a lot of people questioning whether Mitt Romney could be elected because he's Mormon and was just wondering if it was ever an issue with Sen. Reid. Anyone know? It obviously wouldn't be an issue with Orin Hatch, because he's from Utah. I personall don't understand why it's an issue, as politics/government don't really mix, unless you consider their morals. The Mormon church doesn't tell you how to vote or what you must do, but tells its members to become educated and active in their communites, and in the end make their own decisions. I'm guessing Romney wouldn't be any different then Reid as far as the Mormon influence goes. I'm not sure why people think it would. Maybe just unfamiliarity with the Church and its members.

Honest question, just wondering if anyone may know if it came up with Reid.

I just don't buy into the scare tactics. The earth is a gazillion years old with a core a gazllion degrees hot in a galaxy that we barely know anything about. The earth has gone through ice-ages, and a recent "little ice age," yet we're suppose to think that green gases are gonna destroy our planet in a 100 years. The believe this because the temp has increased about a degree since the early 1900s.

Ummmm, I just don't buy into this from angry Al.

PA got hit last night with a lot of snow. When my wife was driving to work (driving 30 in a 45) she slid into the median.

She called 911, put on her hazards and waited for the officer.

The officer got there and just handed her a $100.00 ticket.

I do not understand why when she caused no damage to public property (ie road median) did not hit another car with hers and when calling for help she is getting a ticket???

Ticket says:
Charge: Driving vehicle at safe speed

The ticket reads, "Driver drove m/v at such a speed in snow/ice condition a to lose control and strike median."

Since the officer did not see what occurred how can he assume she was at fault?

Thank you for any feed back....

Was it worth it to come in and take down a vicious leader in order to be stuck paying billions a day, while thousands of lives have died (innocent civilians included) Maybe so. Maybe not. Huh. What do you think?

Maybe I took to much philosopy in college, but I don't see how our troops in Iraq would stop (or slow down) small terrorist cells operating anywhere else in the world. The presumption seems to be that all the terrorists in the world are currently in Iraq. I would argue that with so much of our resources (troops, money, equipment, etc) in Iraq we're more vulnerable to terrorist attacks, not less. Our message to terrorists so far seems to be "When our nation is attacked by Saudi highjackers we'll attack Iraq." If I were an Iraqi terrorist I might consider attacking the U.S. in the hope it would retaliate against some other country. Our message to our troops seems to be, "We're willing to put your lives on the line for terrorist training purposes with no real hope of reducing terrorism or the number of terrorists in the world."

what the republicans plan is?

NO! we dont even want a simple non binding vote, because it makes us accountable. In 6 years we havent had to be accountable, and we dont want to say yea or nea.
So what we want to do is put the ball in Democrats hands. Give us a better plan, they yell, ..
so We can point the finger at you in next election for being non supportive.

Do you think there plan will work?

I don't believe that being the "first lady" for eight years qualifies her for the presidency. I know she did some legal work for a congressional committee way back when, but does she have any executive experience? Does she have any experience in foreign policy?
