I am X-military and my Husband just retired from Military with his last tour in Iraq ending a year ago. He and I both know about gun safety. We will be attending a concealed weapon class next week.As far as Gun Laws! I live in TEXAS, enough said!LOL I like the idea of a belt holster but with me I wear very low cut snug jeans or shorts/capris and tight t-shirts. I didn't know they made holsters for females until I read wedge1_1 's answer. Thank You for sending the great sites. I agree, I don't think a purse or bag is a good idea. And my boobs sure aren't big enough to hide a gun, LOL. Actually unless I wear a coat nothing I wear will hide a gun unlike men who can have a pocket holster in their loose jeans.I only weigh 120 and I am not wearing baggy clothes and yes, wingshoot, I do worry about style. Doesn't everyone?
Everyone has been helpful, I'll keep reading new post!

Too many factors to consider just with an open answer. It really depends on the style of clothing you wear and the climate you live in. Lots of people still carry using a fanny pack, even though they are out of style. You can carry in your purse, bag, some briefcases have hidden panels just for that (though it is not as secure as some would like) or you can just get a holster like most and wear a jacket or such depending on your style. Your best luck is to find a local range or gun club that has women members and see what works for them if they carry. Most importantly though, (I can hear my dad's voice when I say this) make sure you pick the right weapon, learn how to use it, and be sure that you are capable to use it (not just to scare someone off). If you carry a fire arm you should accept the fact that you may have to take someones life, and you should understand the law in that regard. Also just like any skill if you do not practice it you will not be proficient, practice using that firearm like you would have to in real life. Find a range or a respectable dealer who will make sure you get the right weapon for you. Don't buy from a pawn shop, get an expert to help you. Good luck. Sorry if I sounded like I was preaching.

I'm not trying to bash you here, but if you think anyone with any gun training puts it in their pocket you need to attend a few firearms classes before you buy one! That's the last place you'd put a handgun, male, female or alien....
CC holsters for women are hard to find that fit properly, most of us use a shoulder holster as a clip on for the waist requires you wear a belted pants to hold the damn thing.
There are jackets out that have built in concealment pockets that actually hold the gun secure and give you access to it.
You also use an ankle holster, or a soft holster that will fit in your purse. The problem is you have to dig around to find it unless you have a purse made to hold a clip.

People think betty boo is silly All the atheist and people that are not Christians seem to love her and this is right, they are kin the in spiritual sense. But Betty is saying that no matter if she is in a foxhole and she does serve in the army by the way, she wants to use that foxhole so not to get shot. When she gets scared she says she is not going to be praying to an unproven entity in other peoples lives, she is going to be ducking for cover just like all the full of faith Christains are ducking. Granted many people think she would pray if she got desperate. I don't think she would. She is very smart and having a go at that clever Chrsitain cliche. When soldiers are wounded they are not calling for Jesus by the way they call for there mums I have heard. I am sure she could testify to that for us to. Go for it Betty boo. I understand that you are a funny and witty little sinner that isn't afraid of God or life after death.

Before you rush out and buy a weapon make sure you are aware of any laws that concern registration and permits to carry a concealed weapon. Remember that unless you know how to properly use a weapon it could be used against you by a would be mugger if he gets control of it.

Buy yourself a holster (they can be concealed very easily) - it is the best way to wear a gun and easily accessible.

in some states, the gun must be visible. in others, it must be concealed/hidden
you may want to look at your state's laws first.
