like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and others be allowed to run for president, when the only thing they show this country is failure and corruption? I think this is why our nation is so confused about what is right and wrong, because of people like them. We as a Nation should not allow this kind of behavior for our #1 man. This is the reason why our country is starting to go down hill. We need a President who never smoked a joint, snorted or whatever they did. We need Presidents who still have all their brain cells intact.

Ahem... step off. the only thing making drugs "wrong" is the fact that they are illegal. Cigarettes and Alcohol kill more people than Crack, Coke, Meth, and Heroin COMBINED! Not to mention that nobody has EVER overdosed on Marijuana!... While I understand that some of these drugs are very dangerous, their use is a personal choice- and it's none of our business if one of our presidents used them in the past.
In fact, I think if GWB used a little coke like he did back in the day, he probably would have done a much better job at his presidency! He probably wouldn't have needed all those vacations! (that was a joke)
On the flip side of that, I do think that we should be sure our presidents aren't using anything heavier than a little marijuana at the time of their presidency to be sure they are of sound mind when making decisions for this country.

Doing drugs is not morally wrong, it is against the law. No different than running a red light, speeding, or letting your dog crap in the park and not picking it up. Dealing drugs to children is wrong, because they don't know any better. Adults on the other hand, if your not infringing on mine or anyone Else's rights and privileges than I don't care. Driving under the influence is wrong, your chances of killing someone are much better. There is a difference between MORALLY wrong and ILLEGAL. Morally wrong is something you did that hurt someone, stealing, rape, murder, adultery, bearing false witness and so one, legally wrong is usually that you defied the government in some way.

You do know that Bush did cocaine, right? And also, if your concern is about brain cells, I assume you are also against presidents who have had alcohol in the past, right? I think it is safe to say every president had some sort of damaging substance in their life for the purpose of pleasure.

If we were to use your standards of electing presidents, we would be limited to Jesus Christ. Remember, that just because a persons wrongdoing has never been brought to light doesn't mean that they didn't do anything wrong!

all this means is future potential presidents learn to keep their mouths shut and only tell you what you'd like to hear. drugs or not people are all different some corrupt some not, its just unfortunate most politician's are the corrupt people in the world looking to fill their pockets hurting the little guys
