They started it. We didn't. Remember the protests/marches last year? There's your answer. They're trying to have a good life but insulting us by making demands, burning our flag, and screaming at us to "go back to Europe" etc. The list goes on and on.... And they expect us to welcome them with open arms. No thanks, I don't want those types in my country.

If women are the ones initiating divorces, maybe they're the ones with the problems. That's a pretty ridiculous thing you just said (and me too to be honest, but I'm making a point here). Heck I could ask why if more men are raping women what is wrong with women following that line of thought. That's not exactly a place I think we need to go, and this follows along that same line of thought. Divorces occur so much for the most part because people don't want to work through problems. Women generally will come out better in a divorce (no this is not always true) especially if kids are involved, which is probably one reason they're more likely to file for divorce than men are.

I do not hate immigrants. I DO NOT LIKE illegal immigrants. Do you live on a boarder state? I do and I see on a daily basis what they are doing to our country, my state, my county, and my city. There are hospitals closing and our schools are not just crowded they have been inundated (the flood gate are open wide) with NON-English speaking kids. I know for a fact in the LA school district that most of the English learns are illegal. I have several friends who work in the school district. Because of the no child left behind act when these kids can't and do not pass the nessary exams. The school does not get bonus money. This means the other children who are here legally, whose parents do care, whose parents pay taxes and do not use the school as a daycare get punished. These kids move from school to school. The parents aren't intrested in an education they are intrested in daycare.
When there was a day withOUT illegal immagrants last May. The freeways were empty. It was AWESOME there was NO traffic in LA and Orange County it was Sunday morning light ALL DAY. Come and travel the 405 fwy near LAX or try the 91 fwy on a Friday evening going out to Riverside County. That fact the freeways were Sunday morning light all day, in it's self was a huge deal. This shows how many of them are and how they are sucking us dry.
IF you want to come to our country file your papers “”””like my husbands family”””” did. Wait the allotted time and come here legally. WE will WELCOME you with open arms.
Until then go home AND if the government ever decides to ship them home............. I WOULD BE M O R E than happy to load up 15 in my truck and take them back to their birthplace.
So until you walk a day in my shoes or until you walk a day in the shoes of ANYBODY living in a boarder state...... don't judge us you have NO idea what we are dealing with daily basis!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not so much a question" Is it okay for immigrants to come into the country?"as it is the effect illegal immigration has on our country. When many jobs/companies are heading south of the border to cut costs, mainly to lower labor expenses, one must analyze it's direct impact it has on the economy and families who are affected by layoffs inorder for the company to hire employees who are willing to work for less than minimum wage. Some may argue that in the long run the prices of certain items may be more affordable but what about the numerous sweatshops that supply your favorite retail establishments with the goods you love but cant afford. Your favorite pair of jeans for instance may cost you 75 dollars in the store for example, but it only cost a dollar to make. The markup is huge, we all should be so rich, but what is happening is companies are doing this to offset its profit losses and increasing its revenue by looking for ways to cut costs and one way to do that is to hire cheaper labor usually immigrants who are willing to do twice the work for half the pay. That's not fair to us for those of us who were born here. I would never argue how unfair it was for the way this country was founded and established, heck I would probably be the first "caucasian" to say we should give this country back to the Indians and the descendants of slaves who helped build this country, however we all know that will never happen, so inorder for us to move forward we must challenge our legislators to fight unfair labor practices such as the "at will employment"law they have here in Texas or all the companies who are turning their labor force over to temps so they wont have to pay benefits. In conclusion, immigration itself is not bad but it does drastically impact us in a negative way when Americans who were born here are losing their jobs, their rights and their benefits to people who are innundating our land at such an exponential rate which just may turn us back into a 3rd world country...I could be wrong ,but lets pray that I am!

Hatred and racism will always exist, but I don't think that is the issue here. If you are an illegal immigrant, you are breaking the law and need to go home. It's pretty cut and dry when it comes to the legal standpoint. The only issue most of us have is with the ones who come here and "don't" want to be American, you know - learn the language, abide by our laws and pledge allegiance to the flag. You don't have to give up your culture or religion...that's the great thing about living in America. So we want to keep America the way it is and not turn it into another country. Why do you think so many people want to come here. FREEDOM

Most Americans do not "hate" immigrants - in fact, we have no problem with immigrants. It's illegal aliens that we have a problem with - these are two completely different issues. No one "hates" immigrants. We don't want illegal aliens coming here without signing up and filing the proper papers first and then paying their fair share of taxes once here. No "hate" involved in that and it is nothing more than their own countries would demand of us if we immigrated there! We would be no more welcome in their countries if we didn't follow their immigration laws than they are coming into our country illegally. Stop trying to incite here!

I don't hate immigrants. But I certainly don't appreciate people coming here illegally, stealing another persons identity, using services that my tax dollars are paying for, and then acting as if I'm a racist for not being happy about it. My wife is 1/2 Mexican, her mother came to America legally. She's also outraged that others feel they are above the law.

Well speaking for myself I don't hate anyone, and my family also migrated to America. By using the immigration process we lived without worries of being deported, and enjoyed the lifestyle of the American life.
There is absolutely no excuse for anyone else not going through the process. The process will identify you, give you a guest worker pass, and give you entry without looking over your shoulders for any reason.
It becomes questionable when undocumented immigrants are not cooperating to make themselves legal. With our financial system being overburdened, the war on terrorism, and the need to be identifiable by the US government. Do you expect Americans to endure all of this for those who disregard our laws, no not at all, and for good reasons that I mention.
Those who truly wants to be here and make the US their home, must be in compliance with all of its laws.

Calm down, no one is against all immigrants just the illegals. They mess it up as you put it by coming illegally and then wanting all the rights of a citizen.

In Mexico, the immigration policy is a lot harsher then ours. If you are considered an illegal alien in their country, you get two years in prison. If you move to their country legally and become a citizen, you cannot have a voice in their politics, participate in marches and cannot hold an elected office. Mexico doesn't want our military patrolling our borders, but the Mexican military patrols all their borders. Isn't this being a bit hypocritical? Maybe we should pass the same laws that Mexico has.
