Do you actually believe ii serves to do anything but further incite our enemies to escalate their violence? It sends a message?!?! lol... what message - that the liberals in congress can talk big and make empty statements? How could you possibly think it's effective? What a load of garbage, well... congrats on your "historic" legislation.

Most primary candidates agree that pulling out of Iraq will be first on their agenda if elected.

Some propose the immediate and precipitous withdrawal of troops from Iraq with a deadline date, while others are talking about setting 'timetable' in which troops will be removed progressively and benchmarks set for the Iraqi population to leverage their behavior. The latter has no deadline date as it proposes to gradually withdraw without aggravating sectarian violence.

Most primary candidates have given some hint of what they're leaning to. Which proposal do you want your candidate of choice to carry?

Note: I know there is no such word as lostness... I just made it up because it felt right. Been watching a documentary on the war and the faces of the lost children are stuck in my mind.

Seriously, in the USA, we just go about out lives as normal.. and that is fine... we don't see it like they do so that is to be expected.

Yet, how many 100,000s if not millions in Afghanistan and Iraq have had their lives turned upside down since the war. They feel this everyday... everyday of their lives.

It's been almost 4 years and the children see this as normal now.

Does anyone think about the effect of this from a humanitarian pt of view?

People in America are at odds on many issues, but people rarely question the document that really governs so much in our lives. Do you think there is anything about The Constitution that the framers got wrong?

Colin Powell should run for President of USA, if Bush would have listened to him Bush's legacy would have been much much greater. Instead he listened to Rumsfeld his dad's rival back in the day and of course Cheney was always jeolous of him. I know his wife isn't really supportive of him running but who cares she will get over it.

Republican or democrat, don't we elect are officials to make policy, not commentate on it? By saying it's non-binding isn't that pretty much saying nothing more than "we don't approve". That's what Washington needs more of... empty words and no action.

WASHINGTON - The Army and Marine Corps are letting in more recruits with criminal records, including some with felony convictions, reflecting the increased pressure of five years of war and its mounting casualties.

According to data , the number of Army and Marine recruits needing waivers for felonies and serious misdemeanors, including minor drug offenses, has grown since 2003. The Army granted more than double the number of waivers for felonies and misdemeanors in 2006 than it did in 2003. Some recruits may get more than one waiver. The military had to lower standards due to not having enough men to fill the ranks.

I noticed that whenever I mention Islamic extremists or Muslim militants, I immediately start to get thumbs down. Regardless of how benign or non-confrontational my response, those words will get negative responses. Now I can’t believe that anybody out there thinks phrases like Islamic extremists or Muslim militants do not accurately describe organizations such as Al Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas, or Hezbollah, so who is giving these thumbs down? Has anyone else noticed this?

Is it possible the Islamic extremists are monitoring this site and trying to sway public opinion by immediately voting down any answer that can even remotely be negative towards them? After all, they’re posting propaganda and horrible atrocities on YouTube, why couldn’t they be here also? Are we being watched?
