What kind of abortion? There are many types.
There really are no reasons why it should be banned. None that can be justified with anything else other than opinion or religion, anyway.

It should ALWAYS be a woman's right to choose. You cannot always prove rape - lord knows. Once you make one rule on a woman's body where she does not have the final say on her own body, there will be other laws placed on her. Trust me - it can happen. Besides that, I don't think it's fair that there are drugs for men like VIAGRA on the market and then laws banning abortions.
Turn up the male sex drive and help give more erections and then PUNISH the females when they used protection and still got pregnant?? STUPID. Most women who accidentally get pregnant used protection and it failed. THOSE women should not have to endure PREGNANCY and BIRTH. We are talking about a lot more than stratchmarks there! Some women's bodies cannot endure having a child. I suppose you think women should only have sex to procreate?? That is sexist garbage born from the bible. And you people who call abortion 'murder' are the same ones who support other murder (the death penalty and war). They claim embryos are different, but they're not and death is STILL death - even sending soldiers to war and prisoners to execution - MURDER. The christians love to pick and choose which circumstances they apply their beliefs to, and they flip-flop with what their approval and what they condemn. Obviously, some deaths must happen in this world, including abortions. A woman should always have the final say in what she will do with her own body.

The Roe vs Wade decision of the supreme court will eventually make abortion illegal. Technology in taking care of the unborn is making progress and eventually a fertilized ova will be able to survive outside the womb. Survivability outside the womb was the criteria specified in the Roe vs Wade decision that set a limit on when it was legitimate for a woman to decide.

There is no reason. 70% of Americans are prochoice. The House and Senate are owned by the Democrats and there is no way a nominated pro life judge would make it through the senate process. A democrat will be the next President...thats a done deal so go force your bible thumping beliefs elsewhere! Even if the Supreme Court struck it down the issue goes to the states. Most states would keep it legal and I am glad I live in the bluest state in the country...Illinois! We protect reproductive rights! What's between a woman and her doctor is no ones business! The reason is that backwards inbred people have a say in a democracy and they can actually get thier stupid cretin ideas about a woman's right to choose on the political docket for consideration.
They also deny global warming.
Believe in a little God up in the sky (see George Carlin's much funnier description).
And last, they think that a 2 week old pile of organism-meat is a life and a full grown Iraqi child is not.

It shouldn't be completely banned but it should have restrictions. I believe getting abortions just because one doesn't want a child is completely immoral.

Have you ever gone on the net to the forensic medical sites and looked at the little body that was aborted? It would sure make you change your mind about abortion. They have them for each gestation period. I had to do a presentation, therefore I needed that material. I cried...and cried....and cried.
Everyone should take a look at the baby they are aborting. You would never want to make it legal.

like others have said so, it is MURDER. no matter what, it is still a life. I have seen pictures of the aborted baby and OMG. I can never understand why mothers would want to abort their own baby. Each life is too precious. It should be cherished.

Because anyone in this day and age of contraceptives who gets pregnant is an idiot who should be punished by having to have the baby and give it up for adoption.
