I posted on craiglist looking for a roommate. I got few exactly same emails from various names. Many emails have some similaries such as born in same city, study at same college, etc...

They're so quick to ask for phone number and address.

From what I see, I definitely know it's a scam. However I'm wondering how do this scam work? What are they trying to gain?

Hope someone can help, thank you.

16 million people in the world died from Malaria while Clinton was in office. The same will happen under Bush.

Over 5,000 innocent kids, moms, and dads will die by this time tomorrow night --- from malaria.

Is it right that we give so little attention to the 5,000 poor people who will die from malaria during the next 24 hours?

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is the President of Iran.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad insisted that turmoil in Iraq is bad for his country and dialogue — not force — was the solution to the region's conflicts.

"We shy away from any kind of conflict, any kind of bloodshed," Ahmadinejad told ABC's "Good Morning America." "As we have said repeatedly, we think that the world problems can be solved through dialogue, through the use of logic and a sense of friendship. There is no need for the use of force."

At the same time, the U.S. appears to be hardening its accusations against Iran, including claims that the highest levels of the Iranian leadership armed Shiites in Iraq with sophisticated armor-piercing roadside bombs that have killed more than 170 troops from the U.S.-led coalition.

With this said, Why does the Bush administration keep pressing the issue? Why not talk it out diplomatically instead of threats?

Lets face it both are corrupt . However people cant get past all the political fighting , that those in power encourage. Everything happens for a reason and with a great deal of planning . This is true in the political spectrum as well. I think if people took a more critical view of both parties , we might actually have a true democracy .

I have heard of a "Needs Based Award" in Illinois when dealing with child support as a non-custodial parent. No I'm not rich but I was just wondering if I were, and I had $50,000,000, would I have to pay $10,000,000 (Illinois law states that it is 20% of your net income for 1 child). $2,000,000 would be much more than what the child NEEDS.

American troops are in my north and south of my country arming and advocating our Sunni minorities against Shia . America is also supporting one of the biggest terrorist groups within middle east called Mugahedin that are an Islamist Shia group thirsty for power and as cruel as they are our Mullahs. Our Mullahs are backed and supported by Jimmy Carter sometime ago are no longer useful by American government as they no longer can oppress their nation as republicans and neoconservatives like Bush desire them to do. If ever America decided to attack Iran by nuclear weaponry , its horrible consequences would last over the years upon our nation , my president called holocaust a myth but your president is longed to initiate another holocaust this time with Iranians that in Bush mind our some worthless creatures that must be victimized for maintaining America interests and power over the middle east . I as an Iranian and like majority of my people with a 3500 culture and history would have never supported or participated in of any of my government programs but now the time has come to change my way and think about other possible means to hinder Bush from what he is really intended to do . Americans why and why you supported and are supporting Bush , could not you just stopping him from getting your country involved in to another war or you would believe this war is for good of America ?

We will christianize all, that don't believe in our cause!

The Reconquista (English: Reconquest) was the process encompassing over seven and a half centuries, by which the Christian kingdoms of northern Hispania (modern Portugal and Spain) conquered the Iberian peninsula from the Muslim and Moorish states of Al-Ándalus. The Umayyad conquest of Hispania from the Visigoths occurred during the early 8th century, and the Reconquista is commonly considered to have begun almost immediately in 722, with the Battle of Covadonga, and completed in 1492, with the Conquest of Granada.

In 1236 the last Muslim stronghold of Granada under Mohammed ibn Alhamar was subjugated by Ferdinand III of Castile, and Granada became a vassal state of the Christian kingdom for the next 250 years. On January 2, 1492, the last Muslim ruler, Abu 'abd Allah Muhammad XII (also known as Boabdil of Granada), surrendered to Ferdinand and Isabella, Los Reyes Católicos ("The Catholic Monarchs"). This resulted in the creation of united Roman Catholic nation encompassing most of modern day Spain. Navarre remained separate until 1512.

The Portuguese Reconquista culminated in 1249 with the subjugation of Algarve by Afonso III.

Hi. I got married in Egypt last year. It became apparent he married me for visa to USA. but prior to my realization, i got pregnant and made a petition for him to come to usa on immigration visa. currently i am in the usa, had the baby and withdrew the petition but the us consulate in cairo has yet to return his passports. He is threatening me via internet to put me in jail and take my child and other things. He is demanding the birth certificate and he will grant me a divorce. He seems to care more about the papers than the child. I just want to end this. How can u amicably separate from one who saw used marriage as a tool for travel? Are there any agencies that can help me? I have tried to call immigration and DOS but no one knows where to send me.
