American troops are in my north and south of my country arming and advocating our Sunni minorities against Shia . America is also supporting one of the biggest terrorist groups within middle east called Mugahedin that are an Islamist Shia group thirsty for power and as cruel as they are our Mullahs. Our Mullahs are backed and supported by Jimmy Carter sometime ago are no longer useful by American government as they no longer can oppress their nation as republicans and neoconservatives like Bush desire them to do. If ever America decided to attack Iran by nuclear weaponry , its horrible consequences would last over the years upon our nation , my president called holocaust a myth but your president is longed to initiate another holocaust this time with Iranians that in Bush mind our some worthless creatures that must be victimized for maintaining America interests and power over the middle east . I as an Iranian and like majority of my people with a 3500 culture and history would have never supported or participated in of any of my government programs but now the time has come to change my way and think about other possible means to hinder Bush from what he is really intended to do . Americans why and why you supported and are supporting Bush , could not you just stopping him from getting your country involved in to another war or you would believe this war is for good of America ?

A "war by proxy" between America and Iran is already happening in Iraq. There'll be no attack on Iran unless they attack America first.

Well, looking at your past answers, I'm satisfied that you are who you say you are; Iranian.

I think the chances that Bush would drop a nuke on your country are 'incredibly slim' to none.

And while I've been totally opposed to the war on Iraq, I'm less convinced that there isn't a real threat coming out of Iran. We all need to be very careful about that, and after the lies that brought America into Iraq, you can be sure that there will have to be overwhelming evidence that Iran intends to manufacture nuclear arms before America will allow itself to be involved in another war.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made some very disturbing statements. I realize that there's little or nothing that the Iranian people can do about that, but you do need to hope that he changes his tone and that he realizes it's better to play ball with the international community, and lay off the rhetoric about Israel.

I feel for you, especially if you and your family are in Iran. I can understand why you would feel like you're between a rock and a hard place... but you need to believe that cooler heads will prevail.

Much of America has lost it's taste for war... MOST American have. So a war with Iran will not be entered into without a great deal of soul-searching... and a pile of evidence that such a war is warranted.

If you're on the net, and clearly you are... keep following the western based news services. And don't get too upset over 'tempest in a tea-pot' stories like the recent ones regarding Iranian munitions found in Iraq. The press might like to blow that into something, but that's a long way from what would be required for a war to break out.

the USA wont attack anyone with nukes. that is a day long gone by.

alot of people are worried Iran will though.

I have known several people who left Iran after the Shah was deposed and have heard first hand how things were becoming.

There is a reason Jimmy Carter is supportive. Remember in the late 70s when Iran took some Americans hostage. And Jimmy Carter sat there and did nothing about it. Well that says enough about Jimmy.

You have to be crazy to believe the holocaust didnt exist.

I have mixed feelings about the war in Iraq. I would not like to get involved in another war. Iranian leadership sure isn't helping out the peace though. Your president as you to refer to him doesn't have a very strong grip on reality .. the guy is crazy.
Maybe you should concentrate some of that effort on him.

Shadab I can feel your concern in your comments and question. Unfortunately most Americans are not familiar with the history of US-Iran relations. Iran and the US were cordial international partners over 50 years ago. Granted Iranian oil was factor in that relationship, but America has been funding and supplying factions in Iran since oil became a dominant part of the Iranian economy. America has pretty much showed its contempt for the Republican party by voting for the Democrats to have control of the Congress. Bush is on his way out of office. He got voted back into office because Bush and the Republican Party are experts at playing up the "fear factor" in Americans. But Bush's Presidency is over in 23 months, and he doesn't want to start another war. That would mean political death to any Republican presidential candidate in 2008. Plus Russia and China would not want their oil partner picked on, and would come to Iran's defense.

Hi from the U.S.

I say the peaceloving citizens of America and Iran should get a nuclear warhead, pack the hate-mongering Mullahs, the Jihad, certain segments of the IDF, the Mugahedin, and the chickenhawk American Neocons into it.

Then, before firing it off into another galaxy (YES! let's make this conflict INTERGALACTIC) pin a yellow "Imaginary Holocaust" star on Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's chest, and then let's pin Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to President Bush's backside, and plop those two on top of the missile, and tell 'em to hang on!
STAY THE COURSE DEAR LEADERS, and BON VOYAGE!!!!

On the serious side, many, many Americans, including me, have contacted our elected representatives BEGGING them to reconsider the US military involvement in local MidEast conflicts. The behind the scenes involvement of superpowers (China, Russia, U.S.) just escalates the violence. It starts with MiddleEastern teenagers throwing rocks...and then the SuperPowers come and put Kalashnikovs and Biological Weapons in their hands....

The wisest thing you can do when you are frightened by the possibility of war is to turn your enemies into friends, and be AGGRESSIVE about trying to get others to do the same. Fight the good fight til the end, and if you die, you die HONORABLY, staying true to your principles.

Whoa! wrong response. You should take the Example the United States government. If yu feel threatened by America Attack Fiji. After all thier burgening nuclear program is a clear threat to your security. I'm shure you would be greeted as liberators, you could then bring Islamic democracy to the enitre Island nation and tell your people what a great job your presidet is doing.

By the way, I bet they wont buy it either.

Dear Mr. Iranian,

First of all, I don't know where you're getting your information, but I can guess it is from your government television.

The United States has no intentions of using nuclear weapons on anyone. Unlike your President, who has threatened to "wipe Israel from the map" and is pursuing the acquision of weapons grade nuclear material. He claims that the material is for power producing purposes only. You only need 30% enriched uranium to produce power. Your President is seeking 90%, which is weapons grade material. If he intended peaceful purposes, why does he seek weapons grade material?

I can assure you, US troops are not poised to invade Iran. But if your President were to initiate any assault against our troops, your country would pay for it severely. And if by some chance your President tossed a plutonium type nuclear device either towards Israel or any US interests, we would respond, probably, with a thermonuclear device of some kind, which would make a plutonium device look like a firecracker.

War is not good for any nation. We took out Iraq because we needed to remove Saddam Hussein from power. And it's funny, your President has been sending in weapons and terrorist groups to disrupt the peaceful transition of the new Iraqi government.

I think you really need to do some housecleaning in your own government, rather than worry about what the US is going to do.

We will not attack you unless provoked. And if that occurs, then I see not too many places in which you will be able to hide. Think it over.

Dont listen to these ********* down here.....I am American, I lived in Tehran for a couple of years. My family is Iranian (In-Laws) I know what is going on in Iran, most of these assholes have never left their own back yard. Bush is a destroyer and a manipulator. Your leader is the same. He is insane. We both know this is true. There is talk of "nuclear" , I know that more hours of the day than not, there is no power (electricity) in your cities and villages. When you ask a question of this nature on Yahoo Answers, be prepared to have a bunch of jerk offs make ignorant comments. The US has no business being in Iraq and no busines in Iran. You did not see us rushing in when Clinton was in power to save the millions slaughtered in Africa. Why? Because there was nothing of VALUE to us there. There is oil in Iraq. That oil directly effects the economy here in the states. We are all screwed no matter how you choose to look at it. Your country and mine. I dont think that you will find an answer or an understanding ear on this web site. Maybe someday, En shala, you will find the answers that you are looking for.

Are you an American? Or an Iranian? I believe that you were treated fairly with Jimmy Carter during the hostage situation? However are you old enough to remember?
I think that you are safe unless the Iranian government continues bringing in arms to help Iraq? And then soldiers to wage war against us? After all Iraq was a sworn enemy of Iran?
Why are they supporting the killing? Why not help to make peace? It is our governments and not the public? I mean you no harm and neither do most of us, we just want an end to this senseless killing? It is none of our business who worships who in religion and yet it is when we are attacked and called Infidels?
Names don't hurt, bombs do ? And that is the reason we are there? Persia was a great empire at one time and I respect my history, but today is the 21st century and we must get over all that barbarianism eh? If we could it would be lovely right? God Bless.

I am a n American who worked in Tehran up until it hit the fan and our hostages were taken. I would not be proud to say that my society was around for 3500 years and then see how it has progressed allowing a religion who DOES NOT separate church and state....religion controls it all....I know both sides of the coin because I have worked in Iraq on an off since the war started and under OFAC before the war began...

Why are you afraid. Are you a light skinned Iranian or realy dark one? the darker you are , the money you can stir it up...why not just celebrate Martin Luther King month or Black history month...? Bush is a wimp and an idiot. If we are going to declare war just buy a copy of the NY Times and you will find out what we are going to do next. Just wait until 2008 when a democrat is voted into presidency. They will "negotiate" and give you what ever you want. Then in two months you can threaten again and Jimmy Carter will "negotiate" with whoever is screaming the lousdest and your leader can get another 50 mil or so...to call off the dogs....

Just wait....soon you can take over america and there truly will be no separation in Church and state....Islam will rule us , you will kill citizens who disagree with the bush like idiot who runs your country. Islam will do us a favor by ridding our society of those who think freedom of speech is applied to wanting to wipe their behinds in public (with their left hand) is that why dems and libs are called leftwingers....they want for you to think that they have wings and no hands...so you will not throw because you wipe with your left hand?????

We basically fear that an Iran with nuclear weapons poses the same threat to us. We don't want a war with you guys either and I hope that it does not come to that. Unfortunately the average people of both countries are the ones who would pay the price if this did happen. Let's pray that this never happens. Frankly it would be nice if all politicians pursued peace instead of war, but as the history of our species shows we are subject the whims of our leaders. Hopefully one day wars will be a thing of the past. Let's hope.
