Are there not terrorists there ? Does the lack of oil keep them from defending their resources ? Are they too busy tending to all those poppy fields , now that the Taliban are out of power?

Oh there is a lot of resistance in Afganistan...

Taliban are still very active, using Pakistan as a base.

The media is being directed to report more about Iraq, not sure why....

There are Islamists in Afghanistan too and occasionally they attack. The media don't give them much attention because in Afghanistan we clobbered an Islamist government. In Iraq, however, we removed a Socialist Dictator from power and the Left are furious about that. They want payback against Bush for doing that.

Islamists are flocking from around the world to seize Iraq so they will control the oil wealth. Leftists in America are trying to help them, just to embarass Bush.
