kind of.......your question makes it sound like your a kid so I am not going to try to explain to you anything about the economy and how it is linked to other economies and such, so lets just say we would have lost a buttload of money if not. Not to mention We owe our country's exsistence to the French for their help in the Revolutionary war. You also got to think, alot of the people in this country had family in Europe or still had ties with people there back then and they were all compelled to help. Good guys bad guys? Well, thats a bit more difficult, yes in the sense that the ottoman turks were murdering ALOT of innocent people would make them a "Badguy" but that war really was over all the monarchs displaying their power and not backing down. Stupid huh.

Because they think they were the 'world police' that should maintain peace in all over world. And we know that's not the true. They just want to spread their influence all over the world. So if they have to join WW1, it's because of that. They just dont want to be defeated, and not become the number one. Good guys? sure the soldiers are good guy, but the superiors are not.

Well if we wanted to give up after being attacked then no...remember the Lusitania with 128 Americans on board was attacked by the Germans after President Wilson declared neutrality in WWI. He vowed to not get involved after such acts against Americans and our allies France and Britain Wilson begged Congress to go to war wanting to solve this problem very fast.

The Germans were the good guys , everyone kept picking on them though like a bunch of bullies in a school yard.

From a security point of veiw then no, also neither did Britain, but from a protection of your interests point of veiw then yes, which is what it all comes down to in the end.

That was one stupid and unbelievebly horrific war, can you contemplate the fear as those poor young men climbed out of those trenches, I know I can't.

There are no good guys in war. Just powermongers sending good soldiers out to die.
