Interesting quote from an article on the Daily Mail today: "The admiration is mutual between the Blairites and the Cameron supporters, with one Tory MP close to the leader remarking recently that 'many of us would love to serve in a Blair Cabinet'." Given that the Mail could never be considered to be sympathetic to Labour, could it be that Tony Blair effectively destroyed Tory extremism?

when someone is caught usuing their car for a crime the car can be impunded and sold correct? well why aren't the cars of a DUI driver impunded he or she has commited a crime? Impiund it at least til trialand if guilty pull the b a s t a r d ' s registration and plates and DL, we got to get these drunks off the oad they are MURDERING innocent people! BUT HOW?

Crossing the street on their way to church, Frank and Helen Lilly were run down by an alleged drunken driver. Helen died, and Frank is in intensive care. The driver, Thomas Postulka, had been charged in another DUI just two days before.Frank G. Lilly, Helen's husband of 50 years, remains in intensive care nearly three weeks later.
What makes this tragedy even harder on the Brookfield couple's family and friends is that an alleged drunken driver struck the Lillys -- only two days after he'd been charged with another DUI.
"It just seems like someone who had a DUI, his second one in that many days, just shouldn't be driving around," said the couple's daughter, Lisa Lilly, 41.
But under Illinois law, Thomas J. Postulka had full driving privileges Jan. 22 when the fatal crash happened in front of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Brookfield.

Does nobody understand that when you go out to vote for your favourite politician all you are doing is making matters worse.It is only when nobody votes that we can send a message to these lying bastards we don't want any of them.We need new politicians that have to be held accountable for what they promise or they lose their jobs.Let me ask everyone this question.If you were going away on holidays and you asked me if i knew someone that could watch your house while you were gone,and i answered "yes i know 4 people (i say 4 because there 4 major political partys in Canada) but each one is a thief". What would your answer be? We all know what your answer would be,you would either cancell your vacation or find someone other than the 4 i suggested.Knowing that 90% of all politicians do nothing but lie,cheat,don't keep promises ,only do things in their own self interest,and are definitely over payed. I talked to many people before the hearing, including law professionals, who said the judge would most likely dismiss the charges. When I got to the hearing, I explained to the public defender the advice I had already received. The public defender advised me to plead no contest if I wanted it to be off of my record, so I did and was given probation.

After the fact, a lawyer friend told me that if I would have pleaded innocent I would have won. Now this plea is hanging over my head.

I know that I am not guilty of the crime I was accused of. I would rather not get into to many specifics of the case. If anybody is willing to discuss this with me via email I would appreciate it.

I'm planning on taking a medical or personal leave at work to have surgery.
I don't know IL law, but need to know if your employer has to know what kind of surgery you're getting, can they deny you a medical leave for surgery that is cosmetic, & how long of a medical leave can you have w/in a yrs time?
If you have to tell your employer the kind of surgery your getting, I'm considering asking for a personal leave instead. Do you have to tell the employer exactly what the personal problem is & how long of a personal leave can you have w/in a yrs time in IL?

Democrats have a wide field of Candidates in the running but the Republicans have so few, and they are bottom feeders. Take the ex-mayor of New York for example. He is hardly a candidate you can take seriously. And I hear Newt's name being thrown around. Another joke on the American voter. Where are their real candidates or do they actually have one.

Seriously - if you were a pundit, what would you say represents Hilary in a phrase?

Lots of people running for President, but in most cases there's a crystallizing thought or idea about them - for example, McCain is straight talk and integrity; Edwards is ending poverty and class disparities. I could go on with just about all the others, Republican and Democrat - but not so about Hilary.

What phrase crystallizes Hilary Clinton's candidacy?

PLEASE, no "killing babies" or "turning us communist" or anything else that is pointless and destructive.
