Immigration laws are not being enforced by our Federal Government. Penalties for fraudulent ID's are not being enforced. Employers hiring illegals are not being fined as the law directs. The IRS is not seizing assets and forcing illegals to pay federal income taxes as they do to citizens. A couple of days ago, on CSpan, Rice said they are not enforcing the law that deny Visas to countries who will not take back their illegals. Is this causing American citizens to not respect the laws of our country?

My dad is a Scottish citizen as he was born in Scotland and his family are all Scottish. He immigrated here to Australia when he was nine years old and has lived here ever since. My Dad doesn't want to be naturalised to become and Australian citizen for no other fact except he believes, as do I, that the country in which you are born is where you should remain a citizen. My Mum on the other hand feels that because he has lived here for forty odd years and his children and wife are Aussies that he should become one too. Do you think it's ok to live in another country for your whole life and not become a citizen?

i live in los angeles ca. my car got a scratch from bumper to bumper on the passenger side, because of a wire,( part of the properties fence) wich was sticking out. i tried resolving it with the mamagement co. but they do not want to be responsible. someone told me to take it with their insurance people, but they are not handing over that info. to repair my car is about $400. i got pictuers of my car and fence, also i took pics at night thats when it happen, when i was coming in to the parking lot to show that there is no lighting. wire fence is old and rusted and i did not see as i was coming in, you can easily confuse it with a flower vine thats twisted with the fence. i really want to take care of this, not only because of the damages to my car but now is a principle matter. this management co. thinks that becuse we are low income people they can get away with everything, and just ignore and neglect problems

... his America-diminishing, world-alienating policies, at least 3-times a day? ... I am utterly sick and tired of seeing the good image of my country drag through the mud via war-mongering efforts over oil. Would we have committed so much money and resources, not to mention lives, to maintaining a presence in a total mess that's Iraq, if it were some poor inconsequential African nation? As it is, our asinine strategy to destabilize a hellhole (over defective intelligence, at best) and tarnish our international image in the process wasn’t good enough; we now have to scramble to send even more troops to that fanatic lion’s den, while we figure out how to make a graceful and face-saving exit - AND ALL TO ACCOMPOLISH EXACTLY WHAT, I ASK YOU?!!!!

Bush & Co. keep saying that the Democrats have no strategy for Iraq but what is THEIR strategy other than putting more troops in the middle of a Civil war without no exit strategy or time tables for the Iraqi government to take resposibility to protect their own country?

I think it sounds like a Bush fan trying to pose as "what a liberal thinks",Only to expose his cluelessness. No American president should ever be harmed, even if he doesnt know jack squat about good foreign policy.

My mother wants to gift her property to my husband and I for several reasons. First, she is 74 and no longer wishes to own a home. Two, my other sibling has many, many issues and is banned from the home and family. I was told this was easy to do with a Quit Claim Deed. Is this all we need to own her home or are there any future consequences?

I got fired from my job because of this guy who works there. He was sexually harrassing me and I told him to quit and he got mad so he kept telling the boss things to make her fire me. He's an illegal from Mexico and yesterday I say his brother at the store and he laughed in my face. Would you call Immigration on them? There is more to the story but too long to post it. Any ideas of what I can do. I am just sick of people who come here illegally and do mean things like that. Oh yeah the women who fired me is illegal also and I was born here in America!

Why can liberals continue to hammer President Bush about false accusations re: the Air National Guard, but conservatives cannot mention Teddy Kennedy's midnight swim on Chappaquiddick as being to "far in the past" when Teddy's "indiscretion" happened a year later?

What makes this man "untouchable"?

...and put him back in 1957.wouldnt you get someone who conforms to the true conservative dogma of segregation?

And what kind of lanuage was used by conservatives to desribe those promoting racial eaqulity, bsedides n----lover? So arent things more "liberal" today? Nowadays, you can even eat meat on Fridays without going to Hell!

And isnt the reason WHY conservatives do not promote segregation is because it is another archaic conservative value no one really believed in anyway?

P.S.
Yes I know Robert Byrd is a token conservative in the Democratic Party. Most of his ilk flocked to the Republican Party in 1964 after Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act,and the rest as the say "is history"!

if you look at other media outlets from all across the globe, you will find the media coverage to be much more liberal than here. the BBC has even led many journalistic investigations into the war. most countries show the very negative side of war, like dead bodies or dead or wounded children. bush has made it illegal to even show flag draped coffins of soldiers. is this just another conservative excuse to explain why their beloved president is hated by 70% of the population? does the media just get dubbed liberal because the stories undercut what bush wants? i think if people really read other media outlets, they wouldnt be so vehement about our media.

For everyone who forgot, Clinton killed THOUSANDS of civillians in Bosnia... Why didn't anyone cry about that? Maybe you all forgot that little war which was brought on by the "Ethnic Cleansing" that was taking place... And the "Post-Military Operations" that went on there... Why is this OK for him and not George W. in all of your eyes?
