What does it mean when the dictrict court says "this court does not take citations under advisement" on the schedule of fines & costs paper given with a ticket.

mainly my question is:
can I still accept responsibility for the speeding ticket with a explaination? in order to possibly get the points dropped and only pay the fine.

Very rough explanation: You have been charged with an infraction not a criminal case therefore you have no right to a jury trial. The case will be heard before a district court judge. You may obtain a lawyer if you wish but none will be appointed for you like the public defender.

When the "court" is rendering an opinion or order the attorney may "argue" a "point of law." What the court is saying is that the attorney can argue a point of law ( or cite ) but will not accept just the attorney "citing" the point of law. In other words...the judge wants to see the point of law in writing not just on the word of the attorney. Hope you understand this....if not...send me an email!
