Honestly I am not sure our country is truly ready for a black or a female president. Now before you thumbs down me that does not mean I would not vote for one, I am just being realistic. I will say I would not vote for Barack Obama or Hilary Clinton. Why? It has nothing to do with color or race. I do not share some of the same views or values that they do. I do not want to get into the technicalities of what those differences are. I just am very blessed to live in a country where we are allowed to vote on our beliefs, where every man and woman has a right to run for office if they want and the fact that there will not be someone at my front door ready to shoot me for sharing my thoughts on this!

I feel that I would vote for the MOST competant person available to choose from. That can be Black, White, Male, Female, Tall, Short fat or skinny.
Your outsides have absolutely nothing to do with your ability to effectively run this country.
I dont really care. I just go by past performance records and decide for myself tif they are a good person. I also wouldnt vote against a person for any reason like i stated above either.
I also think that the Parties would not choose someone to represent them that wouldnt effectively represent that parties own interests.

I would if he or she would do a good job at it. I don't see why it is only a white man's job. I bet a black president would do better than a lot of the other white presidents we have had in US history.
I never said you thought that way. I thought you said it was only a white man's job at first but then I reread it.

Of course I would vote for any person for President. It doesn't have to be a man either. If the person is qualified, can keep the country heading in a positive direction and would be 95% honest I would vote for them.

Sure I would. I'd be happy to vote for Colin Powell. I think Condi Rice could possibly be a good candidate. I think if JC Watts had stayed with politics, he would have grown to be a qualified candidate.
I wouldn't vote for Obama because of his politics, but with additional experience can imagine him being a viable contender.

Of course I would vote for a black man, or woman.. I'm sad that question even needs to be asked in this day and age. Vote for the person, not the col or.. how archaic!

White men have done a pretty crappy job so far, I can't see what we have to lose, black or female. Time to give something else a try I would say.

I only care about a candidates credentials, honesty and values. I don't care about a candidate's gender, religion or skin color. I feel much the same about people in general. People are either good people or their not. The rest of it don't mean squat.
