If (when) Gordon Brown becomes PM he might want to hang on until 2010 before calling an election. Given that if the Tories don't win then it could be 2014 or 2015 before they get another chance, would David Cameron be able to hang on to the leadership that long? So, will he ever become PM and if so, when?

How can the public have any faith in the result of the inquest into the death of Princess Diana if there is no jury? To say that a jury would not understand the issues is to denigrate the justice system.
Would we be happy with murder trials that were decided by a judge and not a jury?

Whether you choose to see it ...that is the case!!
Do some research. Cheney---Halliburton. He was a seated CEO in the 90's and WILL re-establish those connections after his vice-presidency is over. Halliburton is the company that is rebuilding Iraq through NO BID contracts with the administration.
Bush, Rumsfeld, the Bin Laden's and others in the Bush administration are connected to The Carlyle Group who have business connections with companies involved in military contracts. When Bush is out of office he will re-establish connections with these businesses again.
Can you say CONFLICT OF INTEREST?
It has to STOP!!
We are selling our military and the troops to the highest bidder!
Just because he's the President doesn't give him the right to profit from his foreign policy!!
He is a United States EMPLOYEE and he should be fired!!

Did MLK work in my bank? So why is the bank closed?

Did MLK deliver me my mail? No? So why is there no mail today?

Did MLK free us from oppression down at the DMV? No? Strange, it was closed today too.

I have a dream...that one day....the government will realize that most of the rest of us don't get every conceivable holiday off, and actually work as much for their paychecks as the rest of us in the private sector do.

Thoughts?

Big talk from Bush and Cheney. The 'surge' of 21,000 plus troops will proceed as planned. But we also hear rumblings about Iran. Both sides preparing for each other it appears.
Iran "meddling" the US accused. Iranian 'diplomats' detained in Iraq. Bush pushing as far as he can without any real resistance.
Iran must be stopped also.
And so we wait..and watch..
we are patient.
Soon there will be a call for another 'surge'.....another 21,00 or more.
BUSH's LAST STAND.

Saddam's half-bro's head "accidently" popped off during his hanging, and I'm wondering if anyone else thinks Dick and Don may have played a role. What about Dan Quayle? Was he involved too? How about Denny Hastert?

The aircraft was attacked at Leonardo da Vinci Airport in Rome, Italy. Terrorists ran onto the tarmac where the aircraft was preparing for taxi, and threw incendiary devices into the jetliner, resulting in the deaths of 30 passengers.

If you take a trip to this web site there are photo's available with the causes for their crash. In this particular one, it was terrorists in Italy. So, terrorism isn't anything new and countries all over the world have been healing with this problem from decades. However, does it ever make you wonder what makes the extremeists minds work as they do. Do you feel it is all to do with the insecurities they feel about their nation(s) or a general impression they can rule the world. Serious answers only.

Let's face it, they're a great source of cheap labor, are unlikely to complain if they're exploited, and "protecting the borders" has become a major industry in Texas and other border states.

Legitimize the workers, and they'd have to start paying workers a living wage and provide reasonable working conditions. Build an impregnable wall and deport all the illegal aliens, and not only do they lose an awesome vehicle for funneling billions to border states, but the Family Groups lose yet another "enemy" to use as a convenient fundraising tool. And, a scapegoat for a whole assortment of social ills.

Not to mention destroying the economy of a number of predominantly "blue" booming communities in the West and Southwest that rely on cheap migrant workers to build their homes, till their fields, and flip their burgers.
