I personally think that the Confederate flag is a symbol of racism but some people think it represents history and it isn't offensive. What do you think?

If you are against illegal aliens, like myself, you are called a racist.

Definition:
Racism is a belief system or doctrine which states that inherent biological differences between human races determine cultural or individual achievement — with a corollary that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others

So, illegal alien must be a race or country. I'd like to know where it is! Especially in light of the fact that a multitude of races make up the collective group known as illegal aliens. (whites, blacks, asians, middle eastern etc)
I'm a loss as to how expecting someone, from amywhere, to follow the laws of a country is somehow racist. Following that logic, I must be a racist if I expect people not to shop lift or steal cars or murder and it turns out that a higher percentage of one race is represented in arrest figures. Same logic.
If anything, accusing someone of being a racist, with no facts or evidence, is actually racist on the accusers part!

Our son is 1 1/2 years old and my ex hasn't been there at all. He called me and told me that he is going to clam the baby on his tax return. I am going to clam him too. I think its wrong for him to if he hasn't helped me at all. is he even allowed to clam him if I am?

For example, WWII is widely accepted as being a justified war on the US side. And when asked "why did we fight?", you would see the same answers over and over. Most would simply say to stop Hitler and the Nazis.

But when you ask that same question about unpopular wars, you tend to get very different answers.

So do you think that there is a connection between the people's understanding or justification for war and the popularity of the war? I think the more justified or necessary the war is, the better understanding the people will have for why the war is justified or necessary.

I was recently fired from my bartending job on Jan, 6th 2007 By my GM because I missed my shift on Jan 5th because of an AA meeting I go to every Friday I called her to let her know at 4pm on that friday that I could not make it because I had a meeting on Friday night
in the four months I had worked there I only worked one friday night shift I did not disclose the nature of my meeting until I came into work on the 5th to find out I had been fired (by a regular customer)
I belive the justice of this termination is a result of discrimation against my character because of a recent suspension of another employee the other bartender was caught logging herself into the computer off shift, voiding drinks off her tab and also stealing bottles of champane and was issued a suspension I brought this up in the conversation with my GM when she was talking about why I was "let go" and she told me not showing up for work was a automatic termination when I asked why stealing was not a...

the only difference between americans and mexicans is the number of natives we had to kill to get our land

in reality, neither of us own any land since we both had to ruthlessly massacre masses of natives in order to get what we call "our land"

do you agree or not?

The U.S just stationed more aircraft carriers off of iran's coast and they also installed several patriot missle batteries. But I was just thinking this through and i thought that the surge was to help with Iraq. But iraq does ot have any rockets to be shot down by patriot missle systems ad we dont need to station aircraft carriers to hold f-16s that could bomb iraq because they have land bases now so is this whole thing related to bush saying that iran will not be allowed to get in the way of progress in iraq in his speech because this stuff sure as hell is not intended for iraq.

I have nothing against white people; my best friend is white. That being said, I have noticed a common rejection towards foreigners from both Europeans and European-ancestry Americans. I have also noticed that the attitude is exactly the same, they invent arguments like "they are taking over," or "they don't want to adapt." In Europe they have this problem with Middle-Easterners and Eastern Europeans (kind of weird). So may someone please explain how this connection is formed? I never see Asians or South Africans complaining about people "taking over." I forgot to mention Australia also has this problem, any ideas?
