Yes, it is. But who's going to do it? Everyone with that much power is corrupt. It needs to be up to the people, at this point, but we're not organized enough to even begin.

Yes...but the background behind your question begs some questions of their own.

Are you referring to a specific corrupt official? Currently in office? In office in the past? Reading about in history book?

What level of corruption? It could mean taking bribes...or an entirely different kind of corruption...say using given powers to hurt people whom the official doesn't like...trying to get other officials to do "bad" things...bugging opposition political parties campaign headquarters (hmm..sounds familiar)

Accountable = ??? Legal penalties...payment of cash to public coffers as penalty...removal from office...jail time?

Ford thought that pardoning Nixon would help the country move on after Watergate, but in my opinion mostly caused several generations to become very cynical about government.

Corruption has many, many faces dear! Truth is, where would we begin, and where would we stop? The worst usually go too far and eventually get caught!

But not everyone has my high levels of decency and I would hate to have to go to Washington and do everything!

Besides, all our Jails are already full and we would not want to have the common criminals get exposed to the pros's!

Yes if they are profiting. I can't think of anyone who is now or has profited from any war in history though.
