if you lose 5 pts every time u ask a q and gain 2 for answering, what do the points and levels have to do with anything? do u get prizes?

No, you don't get a prize, just a sense of knowing that you can't get to a higher level.

It's to encourage people to answer questions. You get even more points for best answers that are well thought out.
Points are just like in a video game. Your prize is being able to answer more questions, or ask more.
there are other boards that give cash prizes to answer questions, but if you really want money, get a job.

I guess you failed to read the terms of the agreement when you answered... "yes I have read the terms of the agreement".
And no...there aren't any prizes. Good grief.......
