Let's face it, they're a great source of cheap labor, are unlikely to complain if they're exploited, and "protecting the borders" has become a major industry in Texas and other border states.
Legitimize the workers, and they'd have to start paying workers a living wage and provide reasonable working conditions. Build an impregnable wall and deport all the illegal aliens, and not only do they lose an awesome vehicle for funneling billions to border states, but the Family Groups lose yet another "enemy" to use as a convenient fundraising tool. And, a scapegoat for a whole assortment of social ills.
Not to mention destroying the economy of a number of predominantly "blue" booming communities in the West and Southwest that rely on cheap migrant workers to build their homes, till their fields, and flip their burgers.

No way!! If they really wanted to end it they would. Conservative Republicans love hiring illegal immigrants for their businesses, because they work hard and they can pay them half of what they would Americans. Conservatives only "hate" illegals every 4 years when election time comes, and they can use that scapegoat to get elected with their racist constituency. Funny how this year it backfired, and all anyone cared about was the Iraq war.

Conservatives want to stop illegal imigration. They are willing to pay a little more for a burger in order to have a rule of law, where laws are respect. They also want a sensible filtration process, where criminals are prevented from entering the country along with those looking for a better life.
Not all Republicans are conservatives. There are many whom are highly interested in cheap labor or believe that granting amnesty is the pathway to the Hispanic vote.
Socialists are trying to pass amnesty, because they love poor uneducated voters. These believe the class warfare lies. However, socialists do not help the poor, but use the poor as a vehicle to obtain power.

This is not a conservative or liberal question. If you are benefitting from illegals flooding in, you're for it. If your life and livlihood suffers, you're against it.
Wealthy business people are, perhaps, finding a bigger profit margin from their illegal employment of people who shouldn't be here. The people living in communities where crime, illnesses and taxes have gone way up while they are paying exactly the same they would for goods and services if Americans had been hired - the American middle class - suffers.

Populists want to stop it. Globalists want either the byproduct of power from greater population or of cheap labor.
I'm a populist, conservative Republican, and I absolutedly want to stop it. There are way too many and it is ruining our schools for our children, and our health and social services for our sick and our poor.
This is only 'cheap' for the employers because of the price the rest of us pay.

Most of us just want The Laws to be enforced. Many "Anti-Conservatives", just wanna make us to be The Bad Guys. `Cause they don't have a stance. They put their finger in the air. and see which way the wind blows.(Public Opinion) Then chose which way they see it. The Law forbids it. Enforce it!

let's talk about communities under attack by illegal immigrants that our politically correct liberals allow.
That is exactly right Dan!
