The fact that Dr. King was assassinated in the 60's has a huge weight in the answer of this question. I personally don't think that if he could have the choice to come to this world, the way it is now, with his accomplishments considered, that he would. He was never really a political guy in the first place ... he was more into the humans rights thing. I don't think he'd even want to deal with the morons in office if he was into politics! lol

Anyone advocating peace and unity as Dr. King did would be relevent in the world today. I suppose no one will ever know whether he would have actually ever run for a political office or not, but if he were alive, you better believe he would be actively involved in politics somehow. By the way, I'm white, which should not matter, but he taught us all, black, white, brown, red, rich, poor, a better way.

Today's world wouldn't be todays world without MLK. He would still be relevent, I would hope he would be the same genuine intelligent human being, and not have evolved into an Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson type. I doubt he would run for President, Kings single-minded focus and devotion to his cause wouldn't translate well to the Oval Office. What made King great was his unwavering devotion to his cause.

He would have been 79 in 2008 if he were still alive. He probably wouldn't be up for running for president.
I would have voted for him though. He would have made a better president than the last 8 we've had.

It has become my opinion that good people like Dr. MLK, Jr don't run for president, but work with others at a state, local, and/or grassroots level to keep our government in check.

i imagine he should be regrettably upset in this international. As those that are meant to be leaders for the black community are in effortless words there to promote thier political careers and economic agency expenses. i imagine he should be dissatisfied at how this era degrades itself by technique of utilising those words and the language. i imagine he should be saddened by technique of the actual undeniable reality that once a lot is available to this era they are in effortless words lead by technique of money and selfishness. i recognize this isn't genuine for all yet a good majority. Like Dr. King I communicate of all races not in simple terms one. large false impression that some human beings have is that Dr. King in effortless words replaced into speaking of blacks. He replaced into relating anybody in his speeches.

Even many of his own people would turn him away today; he was a man of God and believed in responsibility for ones self, but that message would be shouted off of the stage these days.

There is still oppression and unfair rights in modern American society, and even more so in other societies.. Yes, he would still be relevant, extremely relevant. If he could run for president, I bet he would.
