Then tell me why is Osama still running loose...and why are American men and women still dieing in Iraq and Afghanistan and why do we still need more forces in either place?

Or is it just a figment of the Republican parties imagination that the war on terror is being won?

Lets face it...the war on drugs has been going on for how long....are we close to winning that one too?

As long as man kind exist and America puts its nose in the worlds business terror will exist.....just like drugs will exist!

Bring them home and let that Country have its cival war on there own!

I'm refering to the situation in France, but I guess the implications of foreigners being allowed to vote are the same in most countries? What could this right/ the lack of this right lead to? Any opinions would be great, no matter how extreme! Good and bad both appreciated! Thanks

2 brothers where playing in the yard and 1 of them found a butterfly trap in the spider’s web. The spider begins to approach the butterfly, but then the boy reaches to save it from the spider’s web. As the boy reached to help the butterfly his brother crashes the spider. The 1 who tried to save the butterfly got angry and asked his brother why he killed the spider. The brother replies, because you wanted to save the butterfly from the spider. His brother replies no I wanted to save them both! The one who killed the spider then said Spiders need to kill butterflies or they will die of starvation so if you keep saving the butterfly the spider would die away. So to spare the butterfly and to ease the spiders suffering you should just kill the spider. The one you saved the butterfly said no you don’t have the right to take the life of the spider. He wanted to save them both.

My question is: would you save the butterfly or kill the spider?
Basically asking who do you feel is right.

I mean seriously.. I don't agree with sending more troops to Iraq.. but at the same time if he's going to be arogant and send them then why just 20k and not the 92k that gates and the pentagon have requested? If you are going to piss of the American people you may as well do it in a way that places your troops in the safest possible environment.. granted there would be some long term tactical and technical problems with that large of a surge.. but those problems exist for the 20k surge as well.... is Bush trying to walk a moderate line between two paths that could work.. instead bringing more pain to everyone? And causing the needless death of even more of our troops?

I've heard people say things like, "it's a common pronunciation in the South," or "no pronunciation is any more valid than another." Nonsense. It's not a "to-may-to/to-mah-to" thing; look at the way it's spelled! "Nu-cle-ar" is not spelled the same way that "nu-cu-lar" would be (if that word existed)! Clearly this is not a well-read man.
It seems to me that he should have advisors and handlers that would tell him of his mistakes (after all, he never said "misunderestimate" again after that one speech in which he coined the term). The fact that he has not corrected it says either: A) His handlers are too intimidated by his defensive, arrogant attitude to broach the subject, B) He keeps forgetting because his brain is the size of a thimble, or C) He's so arrogant he believes he has the right to change the English language and make his pronunciation standard. Personally, I think it's a combination of the three.
Thoughts?
