I mean lets face it...bringing the margin of pay up for the less paid only brings the 6-7 dollar an hour employees wage up and so forth...why because the employer wants to attract more employees and they can't do that at minimum wage rates so they bring there wages up.

Kinda like anti-union people...they complain about Unions and there pay but they don't look at it like they are really riding the coat-tails of those union workers...and in some cases there fellow workers. Because if it was not for Unions they would not be recieving the pay they are getting....study the beginning of Unions and what the employers paid the employees then to what it is now.

Now don't confuse this as a pro-union vs a anti-union post because it isn't....I personally think they have the advantages and disadvantages. I am just saying everyone wants to bash the raise but they do not look at what it does for them.

Lets face it there is a comparison...what do you think?

It appears to me that Bush is worried more about his legacy rather than seriously trying to end this thing. He doesn't know what to do right now and to pull out right now would be a disgrace to his obvious prideful nature.

I suspect his goal now is to drag this mess out into a new presidency so that pulling the troops out won't be "His defeat," but someone elses.

In the meantime when he talks about our TROOP SACRIFICE, he means it in every evil sense of the word, not unlike some sort of Satanic selling out of our nation's soul as he lays more and more soldier's lives on his great bloody alter of a presidency!

PS ---I'm a conservative, believe it or not.

My friend said that he had to do a certain amount of push ups and sit up to pass in the end and had to run 2 miles in 16 minutes. He dosen't know what the girls have to do though. In the end of basic training, how many sit ups and push ups will I have to do in those two minutes and how long do I have to run those two miles. What will I have to do.

Bush said in his speech that the war in Iraq would make future American generations safer from terrorism and that history would tell…but history has spoken….since his invasion…. the middle East has become much more ablaze with terrorism, Hezbollah is stronger, Hamas is Stronger, another dangerous, violent leader Muqtada al-Sadr is emerging to take the place of Saddam, Bin Laden is still at large…Bush’s imperialistic “foreign Policy” is strengthening Anti-American sentiments in the Middle East and making it easier than ever to recruit young people to join Jihad…America voted on November 7, 2006 for a new direction in Iraq…so why is he sending more American troops to referee the Iraq Civil war and insist on staying the course?

Or is is just another one of those "progressive" taxes since an increase in the wages means an increase in the payroll taxes?

Some people think it is just an attempt at increasing the number of employees earning the base entry level salary. I think it's about the taxes since the Democrats won't consider tax relief for the small and low profit margin companies that are forced to pay minimum wage.

Regardless of how you feel about President Bush, do you feel that Hillary’s comments about what she calls his “arrogance” are rather hypocritical, even humorous, coming from her?

Your thoughts…?

I have summons for two reckless driving tickets in the state of Virginia and I am a resident of Maryland. I have a prefect record other than of course these two recent tickets. Im really scaried now... I admit I was speeding for the first one but the second ticket the cop pulled me over for no reason. I had the cuise control on so I wouldn't get a ticket again... But all the cop said to me was I need to get my car checked out and handed me a ticket for going exactly 20mph over the speed limit and I was only going 65(ten miles over). He was determined to give me a ticket for reckless driving... He asked how fast I was going and stated the 65 but he said my speed was reckless even though it was ten over going with morning rush hour traffic. I have a lawyer but has anyone been through this before? I don't even live in this state I just work there, whats the process? And how does this usually work? Thank you all

CONUS is continental United States, in case anyone is wondering. Its for a hearing for failure to pay child support. I'm assuming the military would decide on letting him go based on the needs of the mission, just asking in general what may happen is this kind of situation.

I don't want to go into the specifics, but what is the worst that could happen if I mace someone (not in self defense) according to the law? It would be for the person's own good, but I have a feeling that they might sue me when the dust settled.

Whenever I see a democrat on the news in front of a microphone he is basically stating every negative he can think of.
Unemployment is up
Homelesness is up
Deficit is up
We are losing the war
I am not suggesting that he lies, but what is it that makes spewing negative views so fufilling after all most good parents would not raise their children that way I always try and look at the glass as half full, is being a democrat mean you must see the glass as half empty all the time.
