I think that would be like comparing apples and oranges at this stage in the war. The war in Vietnam lasted 15 or 16 years. Between 2,000,000 and 6,000,000 Asians died during the Vietnam conflict. Operation Iraqi Freedom is in its 3rd year with only about 35,000 casualties..

there's an excellent distinctive between 10,000 soliders killed in one year and 3,500 over 4 years. definite greater are surviving now what could have in Vietnam, yet no longer 8-10 cases as many. additionally that's no longer a civil conflict, Vietnam become a civil conflict, it become 2 armies of the comparable usa battling over the rustic. that's 2 religious ideologies battling one yet another. they are no longer attempting to benefit land, or government, they're in basic terms attempting to kill one yet another. is this a sturdy project, and could we be there, that's a distinctive argument, and not what you asked. do a sprint diagnosis on Vietnam, or talk over with somebody who become there, there are various ameliorations in those 2 wars, there heavily isn't over 60,000 casualties in this conflict, and that i doubt there is often 10,000.

There are numerous sites for Iraq. History tells us that 57,690 US military were killed in Vietnam. Every newspaper agrees to 3019 US military deaths in Iraq. Around 5% of US deaths in Vietnam have occurred in our Iraq war. I pray it stays that low.

Look up the statistics! Different war different times! In Vietnam we were fighting a very good army (the NVA) who were well equipped and knew how to booby trap better than the Iraqi's could ever think of!

We weren't fighting a bunch of untrained people in a civil war! And we have such better weapons now!

And a person's survival rate is so much higher mow! Many they are saving today would be dead on a hot LZ somewhere waiting to get picked up!

The only comparison is both wars were started over lies!

And otherworl, like most of you neocons, you have trouble telling the truth! Vietnam was started by a policy Truman began! Eisenhower and Nixon sent the first troops into Vietnam! Please get your facts straight! And Kennedy was dead so I doubt he started it!

The only comparison I see is the anti-war movement! Same groups oppose today as they did during Viet Nam. I think this will end up having much more grave repercussions though!

YOU CAN'T COMPARE
56 K KILLED IN VIETNAM
3 K KILLED IN IRAQ.

IRAQ IS A CAKE WALK COMPARED TO VIETNAM.
THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT AMERICANS HAVE BECOME SOFTER. BETTER SAID THE LIBERALS AND DEMOCRATS HAVE LOSS THE WILL TO DEFEND AMERICA.
