Al-sadr is not protected by US laws that apply to citizens so the answer is yes. Us citizens encourage Us courts to kill people with the death penalty all the time is that legal? People like Sadr who kill for the hell of deserve to die.

i'm not sure who are referring to in regards of US citizens and what people they have encouraged. al sadr and the US/iraq made an agreement. he would not be arrested or charged with any crime,in return he agreed not to attack US troops. so far both the US/iraq and al sadr has held up their end of the agreement.

Individuals should have some legal rights to expression.. As in I wish someone were gone. To "encourage someone to kill" is NOT legal. What is really illegal is when the CIA does the encouragement. (and the killing)

is it legal for USA citizens to wish death on their president? is it legal for them to go watch a movie that glorifies that president's fake assassination?

i'm a bit more worried about that than about someone wanting to kill a terrorist.
