It seems that Y!A politics has become nothing but a forum to insult the "other side". Are there any people asking serious questions and giving serious, well thought-out answers any more or have we all regressed into grade-shool bullies?

Saddam Hussien has been hanged and now all I hear are jokes about it on TV and the radio. Do people not realize that this was a human life? Can they not see that he was deprived justice? His whole trial and hanging was revenge. I think there is enough evidence to supprt this. I don't believe in the death penalty as it is but this was just rediculuous the way this was handeled. I just don't get how the american people find it funny and want to watch him die.

Face it EVERYONE has said that Iraq is a total mess and troops should be taken out. Bush's response is (to be confirmed shortly) is to send in MORE troops in in a ditch attempt to sort things out. One of the factors is that he will not have to worry about re election as he has served his 2nd term limit.

If he was facing a 3rd term defeat, his attitude would be very different to save himself, so should the 2 term limit be changed?

Politicians are lying crooks in office for the purpose of getting their own. While I find some politicians slightly above standard, most of them are curiously amoral.

For instance:

Clinton and Hilary are both lying scum (and Clinton's book looked like it have been written by a third grader).

Bush is an inside trader (Harken stock), and he flopped two businesses in 6 years.

Doesn't anybody get a little tired of defending the undefendable? Let's just all admit that we are ruled by scum and figure out how to change this!!

My Kids, though they care for each other, do not agree often. I have to make arrangements for Power of Attorney as my husband recently passed. Can I put all 3 as Power of attorney? Does that get messy? Would it not be best for a "checks & balance" so everyone can handle it together without feeling like the one that has "POWER" makes all the decisions after I'm gone? I do have a will all divided by the 3 kids. The POA is more for protection so my estate, checking accts, cars etc. don't get held up after I'm gone.

the whole US military in Iraq can kill in a year? Maybe Bush's new stragety should be using the US Air force/Navy to win the war on terror in Iraq (in which there would be zero US casualties) rather than send in 20,000 new US troops in which there will be lots of US casualties?

BUSH has claimed it several times that he has restored democarcy in Iraq.

On the other hand, he is fully backing Pakistani Dictator General Musharraf. He even honoured him with STATE DINNER.

Americans argue that BUSH is doing it in the best interest of America. If it is true, then let IRAN and NORTH KOREA do what is best in their interest.

Is it not a double face of BUSH?

Somalia, where malaria, cholera and tuberculosis are endemic, is threatened by a health disaster after 16 years of continuous fighting that destroyed its care system.
“The country’s health infrastructure has been shattered following the protracted civil strife in the country”, said Dr. Osman Dufle, deputy chairman of the National Committee for Health Emergency Services.
“The extremely limited capacity of the Health Ministry to deliver health care and the increasing need for this care as a result of the widespread poverty and deprivation makes the country fertile soil for the spread of all kinds of diseases and ill-health”, said Dufle, formerly a junior health minister in Somalia’s transitional government.
Cholera, malaria and tuberculosis are rife in the East African country, one of the poorest in the world, with an estimated 300,000 victims of civil war begun in 1991 when the country disintegrated into lawlessness with the ouster of Barre and was divided among warlords.

If the top 10% of Americans pays 66% of all income tax and the top 50% pays 96.03% of all income tax, these are IRS figures. Liberals could you please state what percentage would be fair and how do you give tax cut to 50% of americans that are not even paying income tax.

Is this an example of class warfare because if you bash those 10% there are not enough of them to vote you out.
