A Democracy is a form of government in which the people rule the government. Unlike what most people believe the United States is not a Democracy. If it was we the people would vote on every issue. The U.S. is actually a Republc. In a republic representatives are elected in a democratic process and the reprsentatives actually run the country. That is the difference between a Democracy and a Republic.

Democracy
Democracy (disambiguation).
Democracy (literally "rule by the people", from the Greek δημοκρατία-demokratia demos, "people," and kratos, "rule") is a form of government by the will of the people. Today, the term democracy is often used to refer to liberal democracy,[1] but there are many other varieties and the methods used to govern differ. While the term democracy is typically used in the context of a political state, the principles are also applicable to other bodies, such as universities, labor unions, public companies, or civic organizations, as well as dictatorships in disguise of democracies.

A failed government where uneducated, easily manipulated, ignorant populace which is easily herded into a majority of barely 50 percent can control the life, health and welfare of those who are not as easily herded.

Basically, it is a joke. Leave the government to the pros and not the scab labor.
