I'm applying for cirizenship and they want a copy of my naturalization certificates. Is this the same as birth certificates?

Sin7 is right; you get a naturalization certificate when you become a citizen. It is proof that you are a citizen. If you're only applying for citizenship now, you don't have one yet.

It's a diploma. It means that you graduated into citizenship.

They want something else. Ask them again.
