Did you call your local congessman or senator? They are spreading across the U.S..

They create slums, ruin schools, bankrupt local governments and hospitals, increase crime, and won't learn English. Most are high school drop outs that lack education and they blame teachers when their kids fail tests.

On tv there have been many news cast about putting more troops in Iraq. I think this is a bad thing to do. What do you think do we need more troops in Iraq?

Half of the people on minimum wage are teenagers, but:

"Some 48 percent, or 3.5 million, are between 25 and 64 years old who, on average, contribute more than half of the income in their households, experts say. Raising the minimum wage is a $18.4 billion proposition that is supported by 83 percent of Americans, according to the Pew Center for the People and the Press."

"One reason even some Republicans are mulling the wage hike is that the number of single mothers making minimum wage has nearly doubled in the last 10 years. Of Americans making less than $7.25 an hour, half are over 24 years old, and about half are primary household earners. Sixty-two percent are white, 16 percent are black, and 17 percent are Hispanic. Nearly twice as many are women than men."

These numbers can be found with a quick search of the internet. Should primary bread winners be made to suffer because of teenagers that make minimum wage?

Here is what is going on:

My sister and her ex husband lived in North Carolina. He decided that he wasnt happy and didnt want to be married to my sister. Their child was 2 months old when this happened. She stayed down in NC for a month longer and decided she needed to be around her family for support and to help with the baby back in Pennsylvania. While down there that last month her ex-hub only visited twice. My sister had him sign a paper stating that it was alright for her to bring the baby to PA until the courts decided custody. He agreed to sign it. My sister has been living in PA for 7 months now and he has been up to visit the baby 2ce. One time for a day and a half and the other time for the weekend. They had their custody hearing yesterday.

What usually happens when parents live in two different states? In this case mother and baby in PA father in NC.

The baby is now 9 months old.

According to the NCHC:
Retiring elderly couples will need $200,000 in savings just to pay for the most BASIC medical coverage. Many experts believe that this figure is conservative and that $300,000 may be a more realistic number.

If this is the case, do you believe poor people deserve to die because they can't save that amount of money in their lifetime?

Also, how do you feel about this fact: Although nearly 47 million Americans are uninsured, the United States spends more on health care than other industrialized nations, and those countries provide health insurance to all their citizens.

Why can other industrialized countries provide healthcare for all it's citizens while spending less than America does on healthcare (and America still leaves 47 million people uninsired)?

The NHS currently has a job freeze (in our trust in leeds it has anyway) due to big debts and inability to employ anyone. So how come the news today said that there is a big nursing staff shortage. There can't be both (does that make sense?)

We talked to the hospital and all they said was sorry and we should call all the pharmacys and tell them to ask for a picture id before anyone receive anything in our name. Is there any legal action that we can take now that some one else has our medical records. Some of the records has social security #'s on them and what medications we get. Thanks

I'm searching for answers to help a friend who lives in Illinois. She has been separated from husband for 5 mo as he is abusive. She has tried to get support for kids from him but he gets paid cash so that he can't be found. She was getting help from legal aide and was about to file for divorce herself when she received papers stating her husband was filing for divorce and wants to give up all parental rights. It turns out this hearing will take place tomorrow morning (Friday 1/5/07). In the paperwork it stated that she did not need to be at court for this hearing. Please, does anyone know if this makes him no longer responsible for child support? Where does this leave this mom of 3 children who are 4, 3, and 1? Can he just give up rights and not be financially responsible, and shouldn't she go to court even though the papers state she didn't need to? If no support from husband, can the state help her financially until she gets on her feet? She is already looking for work but takes time.
