I would agree with all other respondents to some extent. The need for a good balance between Government and Business is essential to a healthy economy. Too much Government intervention can stifle business' ability to reinvest. However, if your Business controls Government aspect is through PACS and Lobbyists that is definitely detrimental to the poor and middle class.

It's a delicate balance because businesses have Constitutional rights, too. But government must contol business or we would have one airline, 1 steel company, 1 electricity provider--in other words, a nation of monopolies with child labor, price fixing and the death of free enterprise and competition. If business was not controlled by the government to some extent, the consumer loses.

When a representative government controls the business because businesses outsource and only care about making money. The National-Union supports stablizing the economy, which is the only time we'll intervene on behalf of citizens, http://www.voteprimous.com

The government should control the business and not vice versa. The state must have the power to regulate business so that the latter will not be able to violate laws particularly those concerning pollution, taxes and labor standards.

Governement answers to the people, government should always have the ultimate authority. For example if there is a war going on, military contractors should have become non-profit until after the war is over.

your phrasing makes it a choice between two evils. all good folks should be at the service of their government and the government should be at the service of the people, even if they are evil profiteers/businesspeople.

It's best when both keep the other in balance, and neither one has "control" of the other.
