Two of the owners of our business used to work for another company. My husband helped them start there own company 2 years ago. Periodically over the last two years they have had cancellations of possible customers that say the other company said very bad things about our company or the owners. We have let this go, but it is just not right as weare trying to build our company with no help from them. They are a multimillion $ company and weare only just starting.
We just recieved the BBB torch award for all that our company does last week. There company did not recieve anything which is why I feel they are still trying to drag us down.
I know we need to have proof of slander, but is this enough of a reason to sue? Or should we just let it go and Pray that God has better plans for the company.

I am a US citizen, but my mum isn't. She had a ss#, bank accounts and a job. I don't know what that qualified her as, but I am looking to file an application for her so she could come over. I haven't seen her in 10 years and I am under 21 (almost 20).

Is there anyway or forms I can fill to get her here, even if I am under 21?

3 years ago my car was bought in SC at a major dealership. We got a huge discount interest rate because his credit was good. When it came down to paperwork we signed the contract, the account manager even walked us through the explanation of the contract. The contract was for 48 months at $277 a month. So we signed the contract and the car was mine. 2 days later the account manager had to call us back to redo the contract. (I still have the copies of his mistake) Now, here is the problem, I call the finance company to get payoff information and I find out that contract that we signed was a lease! In the beginning, we were never told the contract was not a lease! Is there a way for me to fight this! I'm an independent college student, I dont have much money, and I feel like I was scammed big time. If you could help lead me in the right direction, i would greatly appreciate it!

Most people called liberal Democrats support some government control social programs aimed at relieving the suffering of the poor and monopolistic control by big business.
Such programs and governmental controls are by definition ultra-conservative, not a classical liberal philosophy. How is it this misnomer has come to apply to the Democratic party?

I was asked to attend an interview at a police station for something I had allegedly done. No charges were ever brought and the case went no further. How would I know if I had received a formal caution or not? Do you get a letter from the police or solicitor saying you have been cautioned? Just curious if I ever get asked for a crb check.

Schools, Colleges and Universities are important to American political culture. They are the places where ideas are formulated and policy discussed and developed. Being an active part of that discussion is a critical job for young socialists. We have to work hard to change people’s misconceptions about socialism, to broaden political debate, and to fight the cynicism and apathy all political groups face on campuses today. Off-campus, too, in our daily cultural lives, young people can be turning the tide against racism, sexism and homophobia, as well as the conservative myth of the virtue of greed.

I'm trying to imply that anyone is guilty or innocent of such actions, but...

Imagine that we tortured (not water-boarding, but stuff like bamboo shoots under the finger nails, etc.) 999 innocent Muslims at Guantanamo, but we also tortured one that knew about an impending terrorist plot on the U.S. Now, suppose this plot would have killed 100 Americans at an amusement park in Texas.

Would the use of torture have been justified? What if it had been 1,000 Americans? 10,000? 100,000?
